Some places I have seen gasoline just under $2 a gallon About time Hopefully diesel will come down farther in price

It's about time.Until recently I never realized the impact that gas prices have on just about everything.Hopefully it will continue drop. 🙂

Now is not the time to be lulled into a false sense of security
We must keep on striving towards alternative fuel so those bastards can never screw us again.

I've seen regular unleaded priced at $1.94 at a few places here. The average is $2.04 but its dropping almost every day or two.

This will just cause opec to keep cutting production based on their fears as well. Once people regain confidence in the market again, prices will rise again

They need to find a way to charge you for sunlight and wind before those technologies are put into effect. Solar energy is the best way to go IMO. :wavingguy

Notice that the price dropped without us drilling out one extra drop of oil. We did it simply by reducing demand.

Prices will rise again, but we do have some control over how much. And one of the best ways to keep those prices reasonable is to develop alternative energy systems that don't need oil. With those, the few applications for which we do need petroleum won't gouge us so badly.

I wonder how many truck drivers and trucking companies lost their jobs due to those high fuel prices But as a trucker, one thing I have noticed is,most people don't care about truckers problems and worries

I guess it's a good thing there are less truckers on the road huh? :disgust:

we need to keep like it is at 4 dollars a gallon my fear is that people will just go back to there old ways and just waste fuel and it will just rise to the 4 dollar make again. it is down cause people conserved fuel used the bus system carpooled and only went places when needed to. we still need to look for other ways of fuel and power. and keep pushing for higher mileage cars later kyle

One real bad thing about high fuel prices.....................The cost of food and other good go up I have seen news reports of food prices going down because of lower fuel prices

I am a truck driver I will not work for free to keep costs down

Nor should you Zod. I think where you refuel here in my neck of the woods it was about 2.73 for diesel.

I'm glad they have gone down, but I do agree we must continue to diligently work on alternative fuel sources.

It's really weird how the price of gas went down so dramatically right at election time. If I were the paranoid type, I'd say it was all planned.

Since gas/oil is so cheap I hope you all learn a lesson and do the sensible thing:

Buy and stock it now.:manicd:

That way everyone paying $5+ will look like suckers in 2 years while you're 'dipping into your reserve'.

I Think it has more to do with global demand and not USA demand

the lowest in my area I had seen recently was $2.25 per gallon

yes that's correct, now that it looks as it's a global recession rather than just limited to the U.S. the demand for oil in emerging markets will decrease significantly.

Amen brother!!

They're not fooling me one bit!

IT DROPPED BELOW $2.00 A GALLON LAST WEEK.

Now we have to wait for the automobile industry to start making more fuel efficient vehicles.:happyfloa

the price of gas has gone down because the price of oil has halved since this summer.

How does any of this connect to anything I wrote?

The price crashed over the summer. Along about September the reduction started working through the pipeline to the pump.

Like I said, its a good thing I'm not the paranoid type.

All the same, I'm glad to get an oil man out of the White House.
