I have never really posted much here at all, so here I go. I was messing around online tonight, and found a clip from G4TV's Attack of the Show about the "foot tickling fetish"". Not sure if it's a repost or not, but hope not. Enjoy!!

The co-hosts are the type of people that would make me immediately walk out of any bar they frequented. And believe me, with egotistical attitudes like theirs, the only true friends they'll ever have are the ones that accept Visa/Master Card.

The slant this clip takes is--when you think about it--one step away from orthodox religious indignation that this is "sick." Notice at the very end when they try to cover themselves by saying if you want to do it, go ahead but WTF. Message to the producers: if you have any balls, either like it or dislike it with your "ooh-so-extreme" attitude. Shit or get off the pot.

Also, ahem....no guys as ticklees in the whole clip? If that program was into actual journalism, they'd get a 'D' score at best. Very poor research. Go back and snort some coke backstage for a job half-done. Congratulations.

I get the feeling Olivia is kinkier than she lets on. She's the attention seeking type, and girls like that tend to "experiment" when the guy they're with has "unusual interests."

G4TV is the kind of channel aimed at self-conscious gamers. So, naturally, the behavior of the hosts (and the material itself) is going to be self-conscious in general.

It's the sort of "I'm a nerd, but I make fun of nerdiness" thing that is the appeal. In a way, you could analogize this with "Adult Swim" and other things of that nature.

I don't think they did such a horrible job. Sure, tickling is a relatively normal human interraction, but for those for whom it's not a fetish, our fixation on it must seem a little "out there". Take a look at the other segments on the wtf page.

I don't mind saying at all, without apology, that some of the stuff on there seems bizarre as hell to me. Sneezing/snot fetish? Adult diapers? CAT SPANKING?!? Wow. And I'm sure that people into those things would be offended by how they were ridiculed on there. But how could you not see someone into cat spanking as out there?

As far as them focusing on */F...that's an easy one. They picked on us (straight men into */F stuff) because for one thing we're the majority of stuff on the web, and more importantly, they'd be seen as being "intolerant" or whatever if they ridiculed gay people into tickling. Notice that pretty much all of the wtf fetish stuff is aimed squarely at straight men.

Sure, the little nerdy hosts can be arrogant and annoying, but I was kinda happy when I saw this segment. I enjoyed seeing Angelica and some of my other favorite 'lees laughing it up on the flat screen instead of the computer screen for a change.

It made me wonder if any of the 'lees friends or family members who'd never known about what their daughter/girlfriend/cousin whatever did for spare cash until that point had a WTF! moment of their own. 😉
