I know a lot of people like to use them and I was wondering why?Don't you want to hear the sweet laughter of your lee and lees doesn't it hurt or annoy you and choke you?
 
A better question would be... why not?

Some people's likes and dislikes are different. Some of us get our rocks off to something more hard-core than just little tiny cute tickles. There have to be chains, ropes, a gag, tickle torture. Hell, maybe even some real torture!

Another reason would be pragmatic. Let's say you live in an apartment with some douchebag who whines at you for days if you make the tiniest noise. You slap a ballgag in your victim's mouth and go to town. It won't silence them, but it definitely helps.

Another reason still would be the desire of the victim. One may get totally off to the loss of control aspect, and therefore being gagged helps commplete that. Why? It takes away the voice by nullifying verbal communication.
 
mmm i love the idea of being gagged..intensifies that helpless feeling. and about the choking aspect, using a ball gag or something to that effect would probably be a better idea..
 
hmm,that's interesting,so when you lose your voice,you feel a loss of control.That's pretty true but then what happens when the lee needs the tickling to stop?
 
I believe they have a pre-arranged signal of some sort..some ler's are capable of reading body language and can tell if the ticklee is distressed etc..
 
Eye contact remains, and it's damn sexy.
helpless eyes are teh ultimate tickling thing 🙂
 
Helplessness is nice, and some lers have a hard time going "totally merciless" when lees want them too--guilty :redface: So when Senshi's gagged, he can't cry uncle---that's only those times he doesn't WANT me to listen to uncle, you understand 😉

Another reason is practicality--when there's somebody else in the house, hysterical laughter isn't practical 😉

I understand the practical reasons for the use of gags but, for me, it'll be a cold day in hell before I use one on either myself or a lee. I'd rather hear the laughter of my lee and since I'm a supporter of the use of safewords it's necessary for one to be able to speak.
 
You make excellent points, QBBM, and I agree with you wholeheartedly

Having said that, however, I ALSO agree with the_jimmy_james and that general notion that, essentially, "To each his (or her) own." I could definitely see the inability for the 'lee to emit more than muffled shrieks and laughter and protests contributing to the helplessness she'd feel and/or to the sense of power and control and pleasure the 'ler would correspondingly feel. The issue of practicality is also a noteworthy one in situations where noise level would need to be kept to a bare minimum. I'm sort of lucky in that regard, though, because when my girlfriend and I meet up in person, she actually sort of muffles herself manually, holding in her hysterical laughter and just letting out gorgeous streams of girlish, uncontrollable little giggles that tug away at my heartstrings something fierce. :wub

What makes this fetish world of ours go 'round is that it's a big ol' melting pot, or so I'd like to hope, where it literally DOES take "all kinds" and caters to every conceivable whim and kink and preference provided no one gets TRULY hurt in ways they wouldn't want. So yeah, I would most definitely want to hear my lovely 'lees' frantic laughter, desperate pleas and high-pitched, giggly squeals, but for those that go the gag route, more power to ya, too. Everyone be excellent to each other. 🙂

Not really, Jack. You have their non-verbal safeword be a snap of the fingers, a tap on the headboard, or something like that.
 
It seems that tickling isn't just a fetish alone but for people with a thing for ball gag's it's more about being helpless rather then just being tickled. Bleh.
 
I don't know,I'm a singer and have been for 5 years.My stomach muscles are very strong(they need to be stronger,but still) and I can't imagine being able to breathe with a big ball in your mouth.It'd be like stuffing a big meatball in your mouth.
 
Better yet, use the ones without holes and learn to breathe through your nose. 🙄

I prefer to hear the lee beg, plead, scream, laugh, and giggle, and the safe word can be used, if the lee prefers a gag, or bondage is taking over from the tickling aspect,then a gag, is used horses for courses or personal taste i guess at the end of the day.
 
Gags are a turn-on for me, but not for tickling. Talking is one of the most universal human actions, and we learn to use it for just about everything. To physically deprive someone of the ability to speak is downright dehumanizing, and that's kinda kinky.
But for tickling, I like to hear clearly.
 
the hollywood brother think the whole gag question is more of a bdsm thing than a straight out tickling thing. what the legendary hollywood brother means is that it is about domination and control. if you loo kat what the gag does in general is that it limits the amount of noise coming from the victim or the lee. in some cases the gag can make it almost impossible for the lee to speak words that are understandable. by having this done the lee is giving up a part of herself to her master or tickler. some people find this a very big turn on while others do not. the hollywood brother an go either way in this situation. the hollywood brother can see if you tying someone up then you might want a gag so that not only are you controlling there lack of moving but there ability to form words and sentences. now on the other hollywood brother hand many ticklers like hearing the begging and pleading from the ticklee. if you do than a gag may not be for you. the best advice that the rock and roll tickle king known as the hollywood brother can give is for you to try it both ways and see what you do and do not like
 
Or even better yet, don't use one.
