my goodness! i didnt realize my survey would cause such controversy! first of all, i'm going to set the record straight. i NEVER intended my survey to cause any kind of distress, worry, fear, crime, anything. i just thought it would be cool to do a survey without looking "wierd". i may have used bad judgement, but my intentions were "clean". i never used a specific school name, i never asked the women for their names, ages, addresses, phone numbers, email, anything at all. it was completely anonymous. in fact, i dont even remember what the women looked like that did the survey. my intentions was not to start tickling them out of nowhere. in fact, my question 12 was intended for me to tickle their hand. something so harmless, it wouldnt seem out of the ordinary. i didnt want to tickle any major body part just to calm any fears from them. in fact, only 1 girl let me tickle her and i did a poor job on her anyway because i didnt want to come off as some tickle "fiend". i wanted to make it seem like a survey, nothing more.

why did i do it? curiosity. i have seen others do surveys, take pictures, so on and so forth. maybe my method was flawed in hindsight, but my intentions werent of the criminal nature. when i gave them the survey, they filled them out and that was it. no discussions about their answers, didnt give too much small talk. just asked them to fill out a survey and that was it. why do it? just to see if people admit they are ticklish. i didnt want to learn their names, their ages, their addresses, phone numbers, emails, nothing. in other words, i wanted no further contact from them because i do not want to raise suspicion. call it a prank, call it bad judgment, but for people to go on this rant of "crime" and bad ethics, well, you can have your opinion. this is something i never did before, and well, i guess i learned something. we all deal with our "tickling" nature in different ways. i am trying to learn something, but i dont want to make anyone uncomfortable. the way some of you have responded to my original post, you would think i tried to tickle torture the ladies and i am stalking them. that is far from the truth. i intended no harm to people here, and especially to the ladies i asked to fill out the survey. i asked 10 people in a 2 hour span. i wasnt going to ask everyone that moved. i kept myself in public areas where there were lots of people. i am not some crazed tickle fiend that is searching to tickle everything that moves. call it a dare, call it a prank, call it bad judgment on my part, but the ONE thing i want everyone to understand is that i meant no harm.

it is also funny how some of you come on here and take a high moral ground. look in the mirror. i am sure that each of us has done something that wasnt "morally" acceptable at one time or another in our lives. careful where you cast stones......

so i apologize if i caused such great distress in the world of tickling. my surveying days are over if people took my intent the wrong way. i will not however stop writing stories, posting on this forum and even backing down from anyone who disagree with me. lighten up people, this is a tickling forum where we are supposed to laugh. i think we all need to laugh right now. this is getting WAY to serious.

peace and love,

primetime

Don't take this the wrong way, but what the hell are you talking about? 😀

One thing I can say is don't sweat it. You made a mistake, but it's done and over with and it isn't too likely to be repeated based on your own testamony. People may have been upset with the dishonesty inharient in your actions, but, and I believe I'm not speaking for myself here, the forum would suffer without your contributions.

PT..dont wory about the "holier than though" attitudes expressed in the other thread. Those that claim reports to authorities should keep a close watch over their own sholders from this point on....

😉

primetime, what you did is no more sinister than steering the conversation in that direction (which I am certainly guilty of on more than one occasion!).

so for we stalker-like people... keep us posted. 😉

I concur with Ven, don't let them get in your head.

I've seen so much worse without a peep, Tron felt like being a bully and scaring you.

Sometimes it feels no one can do anything with out the high-horses running around.

Again.. lighten up people. Damn..

Mmmm-hmmm Primetime~

As far as judgemental phony losers with no life go, don't sweat it,
no apologies needed...Believe you me, what comes 'round goes 'round...These are probably the same lame-ass human tator tots that would report innocent kids TP'ing a house as "vandalism"...
I challenge them to spend one shift with me, talking to patients who have REAL problems...
Hey Gutless Wonders, where are you now?? (snickers) Aww, never mind, I'll bet I can guess for myself...

I'm reporting this thread to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Expect a public inquiry in aboot 30 years, or so. :blaugh:

Cheers.😀

primetime....don't sweat it. I know in my heart you meant no harm 🙂

Have a great day tomorrow 🙂

I agree with BigBrownEyes.

Neither of us know what's going on.

Hmmmm,,, a new SIG ? Clueless tickling people ?

I would not worry much about it, prime. You made no advances on these women at all, you conducted these surveys in openly populated, public locations, and the women had every right and opportunity to refuse to participate in your survey, should they have felt uncomfortable. Far worse scenarios happen in every local bar each weekend.

I think the old expression goes. "Let he who be without sin cast the first stone"hope that's right. We should all look at our selves people before we go after other's:wavingguy

I see that nobody has answered my question yet, which is at the heart of my whole taking issue with this.

Should we, as a community, be expected to allow admissions of illegal deeds to be posted here without consequences? What if it's only "slightly" illegal? How illegal does it have to be before it's considered serious enough to take action over?

we don't know yet if what prime did is illegal, or at least of concern to UC Irvine's campus police, because I haven't gotten a call back yet. But let's play devil's advocate and say that the detective tells me yes, it's something they'd take action over. Then what? prime's not going to do it again, obviously... but what about everyone else out there thinking "hey, that's a good idea!"

I'll amend my quote to ask, "who gets to decide how illegal it is before someone feels compelled to report it?"

we have a number of police officers (and former) who post here. If someone posted that they did something that was something these officers knew was something that could not go uninvestigated, and did start the ball rolling, would we be jumping all over them for "violating our trust" as well?

I mean, let's say I came here tommorow and posted "wow, I really beat up my little sister last night. Oh yea, and I tickled her the whole time." who's going to sit by and *not* report me to DYFS or whoever? do I get to cry about my trust having been violated? and before you say "child abuse is worse than misrepresenting yourself for a survey", who gets to decide that, you? me? the mods? if both activities are illegal (for the sake of argument, let's assume they are), then obviously the government feels they're worth taking action over. and if you then say "well, the second's only a misdemeanor at best so you should really just chill", well hell, why do we have misdemeanors at all then, if we should just lighten up and look the other way?

it's a pretty cut and dry issue. we're either allowed to talk about doing illegal things, or we're not. if we are, then we may as well just start allowing all those pre-teen tickling pictures the pedos are stockpiling to start being posted. if not, then I'd like to know what illegal activities are okay to discuss and plan here.

and of course, if UC Irvine comes back and tells me there's nothing to "fear" then I'll be glad to shrug and say "false alarm". but this *is* an issue that needs a real answer, because it *is* serious.

Illegitimi non carborundum

Primetime, don't let the bastards wear you down.

You were not trying to hurt anyone. And you did not hurt anyone.

The geniuses throwing the "illegal" talk at you must have pretty good lives if they are taking time to hassle you about a white lie you told some college girls. They must be kidding.:jester:

primetime

you have nothing to appologise about!
you did nothing wrong, or bad. your only mistake was posting in a place where immature jealous turds hang out.
keep up the good work, and ignore the likes of tron, and phineas.

Oh, so we're waiting for UC Irvine to come back and tell YOU what's going on? ROFLMFAO!
If there's one thing I truly can't stand, its whining simps, and make-believe do-gooders who pretend to be on the side of righteousness. Would someone please pass the barf pail!

Society relies on laws to maintain a safe and sustainable way of life for most of us. These laws are created with egregious transgressions in mind. People like Phineas and Tron have helped, in no small way, to capsize societies ability to discern between the important, and the petty.

Suspicion and distrust fester where people fail to use even the smallest degree of common sense. PT's actions did NOT rise to the level of high treason. And they certainly did NOT warrant anyone running like little rats in a drainpipe to inform police about something that couldn't even be properly identified.

Assault you say? Get a life, I say. How many TV shows exploit people's fears for the entertainment of others. Hosts disguise themselves, and then entrap and humiliate unsuspecting "participants" in front of a Nation of voyeuristic morons who sit on their asses, point and laugh at the unwitting stupidity of others. I'd love to see the letters you've written to the FCC in disgust of such goings-on.

And how many times have you been eye-witness to the obvious disregard for the law that so many people have shown when they cross the street against the light, roll through a stop sign, or keep the incorrect change from a clerk when they know its too much? Where are your cries of outrage for the potential damage to person and property that could occur as a result of these blatant law-breakers?

So if you want to make the argument that the law has no gray areas; don't start and stop with PT. Don't wave your pathetic rulebook of meritorious behavior in the face of THIS incident. Get off your computer, stop playing with yourself, and get out there and make a difference.

Perhaps when you've accomplished something worthwhile, then the time necessary to take in answering your question will be a valid investment.

This afternoon I spoke to the campus police captain at the college my youngest sister attends....not as a tickle fetishist, but as a concerned older brother. I ask about their policy on non-students coming onto campus and taking surveys of students in outdoor settings.

He said unless a student complained, they really didn't concern themselves with it....that if I, or my sister was being harrassed or bothered by someone doing this, by all means report it; and they'd investigate....they reserved the right to escort anyone off campus who was creating a disturbance. The key is they only become involved IF and WHEN a student requests assistance.

I believe most campuses are this way (except in urban high crime areas). Even at Georgia Tech when Becky was attending, I never had to pass through any security gate to visit her....I came and went at the sorority house, was treated by sis's friends as an older brother. The only time I ever remember any type of security was her freshman year when she lived in a "girls only" dorm; and this was primarily to keep their boyfriends out of the dorm at night so the girls could 1) study and 2) sleep 😀

In the case with primetime, if anyone should have been concerned enough to make a report, to turn him in -- it should have been one of the young ladies he surveyed (or perhaps her family). Unless Neutron has a female relative attending UC-Irvine, or attends the college himself, I don't honestly see where what primetime did was any of his friggin business....and the fact he did take matters into his own hands (calling the college, sending posts from this board, calling law enforcement) is what scared the living hell out of my g/f.

Traci's like..."what if someone on that board finds out I'm a teacher, and decides in their own self righteous mind that I'm unfit (too kinky) to be teaching ten year olds"? "What if they pursue it, just as Neutron did in this case, whether it's any of their damn business or not"? My g/f has a very valid point.....in Georgia, I've seen people arrested, even lose custody of their kids all because ONE NOSY PERSON in a grocery store decided they were spanking their child too hard....and called the cops.

There's a helluva difference in asking a 19 year old girl to voluntarily answer a few survey questions about tickling and trying to rape her (even if he fibs about who he's giving the survey for).....just as there's a tremendous difference in making your child mind in the grocery store and beating them senseless. I have the common sense to know the difference in something minor and something serious...sadly many folks don't (as vividly illustrated by Neutron's overreaction).

Here's a couple questions I have...

1) What IF primetime did this on a public California Beach? What if he told the young ladies he was taking a survey for "Primetime Inc? I can set up a website in less than an hour titled "Perry's Surveys". If I tomorrow go to Arbor Place mall and ask a dozen young women to please participate in my survey; because I represent "Perry's Surveys", do you Neutron then call the Douglasville police on me? Do you send my posts to Arbor Mall management...warning them some tickling "sexual predator" is on the loose?

I'm trying to discern (and so is my g/f) is your problem with primetime giving the tickling survey under false pretenses, or giving a tickling survey at all? Nowhere can I find ANYONE...not my cousin who's a veteran police officer, not my sister's campus police captain, not my security supervisor...no one that equates asking someone to participate in a voluntary survey about tickling as anything close to sexual assault.

illegal, illshmegal...

Representation aside, which was a harmless white lie to make them more comfortable with the topic, all he did was ASK THEM TO PARTICIPATE. To VOLUNTEER. He didn't violate these women in any way. Let it GO already. Sheesh. People have too much time on their friggin' hands these days.

Silly, silly, silly!!! Geeeezzzzzz. Read shadowtklr's post...that sums up just about how I feel...this is "petty" crap. Here, one of our best contributors does something he thinks will "interest" the community and look how he is treated. Man, I didn't know there were so many "halo's" over our members heads...LOL

peace out,
daddy

The Difference Is..

He asked them to participate under false pretenses and misrepresented himself. Had he said hi I'm primetime, I'd like to ask you a few questions about tickling, have you take a survey, perhaps tickle you, then post the rssults on a tickling net site, and the ladies had said sure I'd would have had no problem with it. Instead he lied then bragged he was lucky he looked so young. My advice, be upfront trust me it works.

By some of your outlooks it'd be ok to walk by an assault or any other crime simply because I'm not related. Never mind morality and ethics.

I'll tell you how I'd have become involved had he pulled something like that in my presence. I'd have broken his hands, then again that's just me. If he was a real life friend and I caught him doing it, results would have been the same.

Note I think at heart primetime is a pretty good guy, at the minimum not overtly a bad one. I do recognize he made an error in judgement. But based on many of your responses I have to wonder if you have ethical stop signs.

Phineas...

Your rush to elect yourself judge, jury, and executioner, and make inquiries to the UC Irvine authorities strongly suggests that you feel that Primetime has in fact commited a crime. Yet, you don't specifically state what crime it is that you suspect him of committing. Exactly what would it be then? Misrepresentation in order to take a tickling survey for the purpose of self gratification? Sexual assualt or sexual battery? Something else that has not yet been mentioned on the two threads concerning the survey in question?

The two so called crimes mentioned above have been either implicitely or explicitely mentioned in all this fuss over nothing. I wouldn't be posting this had you not seen fit to stick your nose in where it does not belong; the only people who would have reason to react in such a manner would be the women who took part in Prime's survey.

You posted in a thread entitled "Sleeping Beauties" about four pages back on 12-22-03, from which I quote in part:

"...Saturday night, around 3am, I decided that my trip was not to be a total loss.
Sitting as close to the edge of my bed as possible, without looking like I was doing so, I reached over and gave one of her exposed soles the single-finger, toe-to-heel treatment. She jerked in her sleep and shifted her feet under the pillow. I waited a few moments until she was still, moved the pillow away, and did it again.
She kicked again, but otherwise didn't move. I gave her toes a stroke.
This time, she woke up with a start. I, of course, was back in "position". She looked around confused, then said to me, "was I sleeping?"..."

Was this self gratification? Did you feel no urgency to see if you had committed a crime of sorts, given that you had taken it upon yourself to tickle her feet not once, but three times? Not only without permission, but when she could not have given or not given permission, being asleep? Should we all now inquire of the New Jersey authorities what, if any, crimes had been committed? Sexual assualt or battery? All for the purpose of self gratification? And finally, if said authorities say a crime had in fact been committed, would you rush to place yourself before the bar of justice and answer whatever charges were brought forth?

The point is this...nobody suffered any injury of any kind. Had Primetime attempted to follow up with further contact, or insisted on doing a tickle test on the participants against their will, that's something else altogather, and I would lead the charge see him compelled to answer for crimes he would have then committed. As it was, the only people who have any legit reason to escalate it that far are the women themselves. As for the rest of us, unless you are so blameless in life as to score higher than Snow White on a purity test, by now it is a dead issue. Let it drop. Primetime has nothing to apologize for.

Makes sense. Stop someone from taking a survey by "breaking his hands.
Stop a "crime" by commiting assault.

Your brilliance is very illuminating. 🙄

Gee, with friends like you...(sitting on hands) :wow:

BTW, I ripped the label off my mattress that says its illegal to remove it. Just thought you should know. When I'm done typing this, I'm going to really press my luck and duplicate a copyrighted movie. But it doesn't stop there. In the morning, in DIRECT violation of state law, I'm going to start my car and leave it idling unattended while it warms up.

Sssssssomebody Sssssstop ME!!! :evilha:

Ray! LOL!!!!

Yeah that made sense Tron.

Dude, what's up your ass? We all have bad days, even extreme drama.
This was a survey. Drink a nice lemonade and have a nice day Tron.
