One in particular piques my interest.

Call me paranoid, but I wouldn't trust them. Could be anyone on there. Going into a chat room and giving no info on yourself is like walking into a party disguised with a mask and voice-changer.

Why should it matter ? It's only a chatroom. Anyone can be whoever they want to be on the internet. Maybe I don't see anything wrong with it because i don't cyber or pc, but even so, cyber is not reality so why should anyone care who is male or female? There will always be people pretending to be something they are not. I don't see a problem unless you are planning to meet this person.

You're right, you can't personally understand it, since you have no experience with it.

The idea behind cyber-anything is to convince the other person you are who you say you are, especially when it depends on male/female interaction. As a male, if I have even the slightest suspicion that the person who's pretending to be female is actually male, it's an instant turn off and I lose interest. Most other males who frequent the chatroom will probably agree with me.

Ask for a pic. of this person! See what you get, if anything, if the pic looks like a profesional picture it's probably FAKE! See most members on here, if you'll notice, have snapshots of themselves taken by friends or family. A professional pic. for TMF is a little odd, think about it............

Ive gotten pictures from people that dont look fake at all but they are still phonies. the real test is the phone call request. thats how you weed out the fakes. if you get answers like, "my cell phone isnt working", or, "i had a bad experience talking to a guy once, im not ready yet", odds are you have a phony.

Agreed. Didn't this girl use the words tits and clit? Most girls refer to their own breasts as boobs. They think it's a cuter sounding word. However if they are talking about another girl they might say tits.
She seemed to move a bit fast too. I agree with Sean Man, she wasn't telling you anything about herself. She just said here's my goodies. Girls don't usually talk that way! Even the easy ones!

Its the concept of the lie. Thats like saying you meet someone online in a diff state and eventually agree to meet up and u learn that she doesnt look like the pics provided and he is really a she. You never know with the chatroom....there are stories of people meetin from the chat or forums here and dated\gone out\engaged or whathave you. I know i was one of em, and i was subjected to one of the problems stated above(no he wasnt a she but she was nothing but lies off the bat) But people use the forums\chat as a tool to meet people, with the chance of people meetin in person, its a wise thing to be aware that people may not be what they say they are.

I even think that's asking a lot. Use your own judgement. Not to demean anyone, but dozens of people go through that chatroom. If something feels odd, just find someone new to talk with. I don't see why this is really an issue.

For guys who are turned on by guys, it works for them, because they are interacting with a guy.

Also viper, id say its a hoax, esp if u didnt know this person and the first 2 sentences were "hi viper" and "pm me" but then again, we do have a thread dedicated to your popularity

Its too easy to say you dont have a webcam. alot of women dont have them anyway. theres nothing wrong with a phone chat. you dont ask the first time you talk to the person of course, but after a few times chatting online and getting to know them, theres no reason to not talk on the phone if your clicking. you can just block your number anyway. its not like thats an issue.

In my opinion, gender is meaningless on the Internet. The only people that care what gender someone is, is someone who's looking for...I dunno...cybersex or something else gratifying of the sort.

That being said, the initial example was probably a guy. But there's no way to prove it, so my personal view is 'I don't care cause I'm not looking for a girl anyway'.

There have been times when I talked to some retard like that in the chat...and just for laughs, I'd cyber. There this fool is, and there I am, in pc with the chat regulars I've known so long, laughing at this person. There was one in particular who presented itself as an Asian sex/tickle slave, and I making 'it' do the silliest, most foolish things, and I'm giving the play by play to other people in other windows ("oh, shit, I made her take the banana out of her puss and stick it in her nose!")... Ha ha
