Does anyone know how to do this without damaging the surface? I have a textbook with a sticker stuck to the front of a book that I have and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Any will be appreciated! :wavingguy

I have sucessfully removed large stickers off cardboard, textbooks, boxes, ect. by setting my blowdryer on high, and applying heat to the sticker for about 45 seconds. It should peel right off. Good luck. :justlips:

I use lighter fluid to get stickers off paper goods. It dissolves the glue then evaporates, leaving no stain or traces.

I use goof off, goo gone, orange oil, lighter fluid, or alcohol to
get rid of sticky stuff, depending on the surface. Most of those
work well. Yes, occasionally I get cleaning obsessed 🙂

I found Goo Gone at the store today, used it, and it worked wonders on my book. It didn't leave any stains, damage it, or ruin the cover of the book. Thanks guys! :justlips:

stuff called Goo Gone....works very well

Yes,it does work very well on lots of stuff..

I have a D.O.D. sticker on the windshield of my car to get on base and such, I will have to replace it soon with a new one and Flatfoot told me that using a scraper of sorts and maybe some Goo Gone (or whatever) might help get it off without damaging the surface. However, yours is on the surface of a book, something far less scrapable than my windshield. I have an act for peeling stickers off without leaving sticky crap behind, but that doesn't do you so well, does it? Maybe peel it off and use Goo Gone for the after sticky mess. Not too sure of a good solution for this.

Edit/Add: I didn't realize you had already found a solution. Boo! I suck, but it's nice to know Goo Gone works. 😎

Goo gone is the bomb baby! It can remove tons of stains and what-not in your house!

For windshields or any flat glass, scrape off using a single-edge razor blade.
