Two Ghost Riders take on two Green Lanterns, actually. To be precise, Johnny Blaze takes on Hal Jordan and Dan Ketch takes on Kyle Rayner!

So tell me, then, who wins this fight? The GRs or the GLs?

I suppose it depends on whether the Ghost Riders remember to bring their yellow-painted wooden baseball bats.

The yellow impurity, which prevented Green Lantern rings from effecting the color yellow, no longer exists.
The Green Lanterns can counter anything Ghost Rider can throw at them. Especially Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, among the most skilled Green Lanterns of all time. They have both fought and defeated more powerful enemies on numerous occasions.

First it depends on which ghostrider we're talking about. If i remember right, it was claimed that the most recent one was one of the few beings powerful enough to fight the Green Scar hulk, which is the most powerful hulk to have existed. There is also the question as to what effects the Green lanterns rings when having to deal with magical energies and such.

If what I believe I know about ghostrider is right, and he is the one your talking about, I would say that he would probably win.

Well it's a battle of the Cosmic Powered Lanterns vs the Supernaturally charged Ghost Riders. I think I could make an argument for the Ghost Riders based on 2 points. 1) the Green Lantern Rings won't allow them to kill as a general rule, 2) The Green Lantern Rings only have a 24 hour charge. Add to that the issue of "Can hell fire penetrate a Green Lantern's force field?" On the outside chance that Hell Fire can penetrate a Green Lantern force field then I would give it to Team Ghost Rider, since I don't see them having to stop fighting within a 24 hour period.

Just an opinion but I think I make some good points.

Your not considering other limits the Green Lanterns have, and you are greatly underestimating the power of the Ghost Riders. Pretty much any damage the GL's could do would be recovered pretty much immediately, and since their rings won't allow them to kill in 99% of situations it is unlikely that this will be an exception. The Ghost Riders on the other hand, do not have to recharge their Hell Fire once ever 24 hours and I believe they would be willing to kill if it they felt that's what it would take to win. As Aquaman said to Namour "That's why you lose Namour, you're to honorable to cheat."

PS
We both know that if Marvel and DC ever did a Ghost Rider/Green Lantern story that they would fight for a little while, until the bad guys showed up and they would end up putting their issues aside for fight for the greater good.

The Green Lanterns regularly fight enemies who use magic or supernatural powers. Additionally, Hal Jordan, in particular, has fought on an even level with some of the most powerful beings in the universe, such as the cosmic embodiment of fear, Parallax, the living antithesis of all matter, The Anti-Monitor, the Cyborg Superman, etc.

Green Lantern rings can kill now, though that would be dependent on whether the Ghost Riders were deemed enemies of the Corps. As for the issue of charging their rings, Green Lanterns have access to a pocket dimension that holds their individual power batteries, so they would only have to break from combat for a moment in order to recharge their rings.
These are all excellent points, but I think I'd still have to give it to the Green Lanterns, whose power is only limited by their own willpower.

It's been a while, so I am not up on the Ghost Rider, but what limits are there on their power? The only time I remember the Lantern's being permitted to kill, was during the war with the Sinestro Corps, and that was only after a vast number of Green Lanterns had already died. So unless the GR's are on the verge of killing Kyle or Hal there would be no reason for the rings to turn of their safety limits. By the way, thank for giving me credit on my point of view, there are far to many people around here who wouldn't have done that. This is a most interest debate from a comic geek perspective 😀

I'm not too clear on the exact limits of Ghost Rider's abilities. I know they can regenerate and have a natural resistance to damage, but I'm not certain to what degree.
The default of the power ring is now for it's safety to be off. Toward the end of the Sinestro Corps War, the Guardians enacted two new laws in the Book of Oa, the first being that lethal force was authorized against Sinestro Corps members, the second that lethal force was authorized against all enemies of the Green Lantern Corps. It doesn't seem to be on a case-by-case basis, as shortly thereafter, a lantern executed a Sinestro Corps member who had surrendered, which led to the creation of the Alpha Lanterns (essentially internal affairs for the Corps.)
Realistically, I think you're right that while it would be a pitched battle, they'd ultimately end up uniting against a common threat, something like Blackheart teaming up with Parallax, or perhaps Mephisto and Krona. It would be pretty awesome to see, though.

well, ghostrider generally speaking can't be harmed, save for holy/magical weapons. His gan regenerate to great levels, including from having his head crushed/decapitated, and in his most powerful form, is god like, depending on if he has the backing of the ghost rider spirit or not.

Here is a list of his powers.

Well, if we're talking about levels of power from different points in their mythology, Hal and Kyle have both played host to cosmic entities that have existed since the beginning of all life in the universe (Parallax for Hal, Ion for Kyle) and Hal spent the entire time he was dead serving as god's spirit of vengeance. I'd say if we're placing them all at the peak of their power, they're about even.

So which Green Lantern was allergic to wood? I know the Corps has come a long way since Sportsmaster was a legitimate villain, but the thought of him still cracks me up. Seriously, he needs to be the main villain in the next Green Lantern movie.

That was the Silver Age Green Lantern, Alan Scott. His powers are unrelated to the Green Lantern Corps, and were magical in nature.
