No, usually they don't! These fumes are possibly quite combustible, so no open flames people!

*opens the windows to let the fumes escape, releasing the "night of the living dead/resident evil toxin into the air. looks at fumes escaping, grabs potion, drinks it, then puts on gas mask.
 
*as remaining fumes escape, opens lighter and lights fumes, creating a massive wave of fire that goes through the air. puts on black cloak and grabs a scythe.
