goth girl group gone...

🙂 Smart Groups are my favorite. 😀

Ticklemaster750 had a similar problem with his Lone Star groups; not sure what his solution was, I think he got everything resoloved; you might try conacting him. Believe me, if I had photos of this unique sub-genre of tickling you'd be my guest to have them. Here's hoping will one day be able to take such photos....

somehow, my Yahoo goth girl tickling group got deleted🙁 It had like 800 members, how could it get gone? Anyway, i plan on making a site for it, anyone know any good FREE places? Is Angelfire any good?

Well, when my group got deleted, half the pictures went with it.🙁 If anyone has any goth girl tickle pics send them to [email protected] and help me out. Thanks

P.S- Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Sorry to hear the bad news man. I learned early on to never trust these free services for storing your content because they can pull the plug at any time without a reason...it's always in the "small" print. ALWAYS store or backup all your stuff on your computer and then to a disc. Angelfire and GeoCities are really no good for this type of thing for two main reasons. 1) They don't allow linking and 2) Once you pass your monthly bandwidth allowance, noone can access your site until the next month, or whenever their cycle is.

Alot of web providers give you free webspace when you sign up to use their service (aol, sbc yahoo, cyberlynk and others) so this might be an alternative to check into. Most people don't even know they have it! Other than that you will have to reach into the ole wallet and pay for some hosting somewhere which is what I would recommend to anyone who wants to share material on the web. You will still have a bandwidth limit, but it's much higher than the free places and you don't have to deal with ads all over the place. There are basic plans out there for as low as $8.00 a month which is not bad at all, and they include cgi, perl, (the things needed to have interactivity on the site) multiple e-mail, MySQL database and more. Good luck...hope you get your site restored.

peace out,
daddy

Not saying you "have" to pay for a site...just less headaches to worry about especailly after you have spent alot time customizing your group and uploading, members joining, updates, etc...just to find it gone again oneday.

peace out,
daddy

Yahoo seems to be deleting quite a lot of groups. The same happened to Cheshire Cat and me (read http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37540).

I'd like to know whether it has to do something with the content of these groups, or if it's for some technical reason. They have been reorganising their whole structure for several months now. The problem is: You can't even ask them, because they have no help desk or contact addy! Yaboo! :sowrong:

Perhaps many of the more popular ones are probably destined for the chop too, and that includes several artist groups. If that happens, that would be disasterous. Yahoo! do suck.
