Aw I am glad to hear she is doing better. The pics are so cute. Cats in laundry baskets is one of my favorite things ever.

Gin, Marquis, Sandy, Viper and Desdemona... I thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Penny is home now! 🙂 She was a bit frazzled when she first came home around midnight and didn't really want to get too close or anything. Not that I blamed her at all given her traumatic experience. Aside from attempting to shake the bandage off of her left, front leg, she was really focused on grooming since she was given a catheter and her hind legs were very wet. She hissed at us once we tried getting the bandage off (which we were given permission to do), but that's understandable. I'm sure she was tired of people poking her with things in that area by that time. But anyway, she is dry and bandage free now... with a nicely shaven, poodle-like front leg to keep her nice and cool during the hot months. 😉
So today, she seems to be back to normal. She came up to me earlier and was rubbing herself up against me. She seemed very happy to be pet and even more content once she was fed. Right now, she is resting comfortably in front of the air conditioner. Cats are really good at picking out the comfiest spaces in the house. 😀
Thank you again, everyone, for your kindness during the past few days. It means a lot to me that I can come here and get a little reassurance when things like this happen. I'm sure Penny would appreciate it too.![]()
People who don't have pets have no idea how close you get to them and how much we pet owners are willing to do for them.

i hope she is ok!!
I'm so glad to hear that things are looking up. I hope they stay that way. 🙂 My cat means the world to me, so I know where you're coming from.
Cat's are often good at recovering from things.
Only age (and thus the evil C) got mine 🙁
Glad yours is OK. Cats RULE

Dear Furry Little Penny,
I wanted to write to you sooner but my mom was on the computer. I can't type well and she is afraid that I will scratch the keys of her keyboard. So, I had to wait until she got into the shower.
I was glad to hear that you are home from the hospital. Your dad was worried and so was my mom and all of his friends. When she told me that you were very sick, even I got a little concerned.
I hope you are feeling better. Take it easy on that leg. Don't be chasing any mice so soon after you have gotten home. Don't worry about the missing fur on your little leg. It will grow back in no time so don't let other kitties bother you if they make fun of it. They are probably just being jealous anyway.
You must remember to get lots of rest and to eat all your kibble... yes even the green ones. Go easy on the catnip too. It wouldn't be wise to mix that with your other medications.
Your dad shared pictures of you. You are a pretty little girl even if you are a cat. You look a lot like my little friend Pandora. I think that she's pretty too but don't tell her I said that.
Your dad says you like to lay in front of the air conditioner. I's like to do that but I'm too big. I just hog the fan. It isn't as good but it works okay for me.
I have to go now and take my pills and get a nice back scratch and a belly rub.
Your Pal,
Bruno

I just noticed this thread, otherwise I would have offered condolences and good wishes sooner.
Instead, I will offer a belated congratulations and wonderful news that your cat is doing better. 🙂 Keep us informed on her progress and I wish nothing but a speedy recovery for your little friend 🙂

This is awesome Mz. Tell Bruno to get better soon, and my love to you.
Likewise. I am hoping that Bruno is progressing nicely. 🙂
Thank you. But he'll never get better. But I sure can make him as comfortable as I can in the time he has left. He takes coated asprin three times a day (every six hours), and he has a chewable suppliment recommended by the vet, plus I give him massages once to twice a day.
He'll be 13 in August, for a large dog that is beyond the normal life expectations. I have been blessed by having him this many years and for that I am grateful beyond words. I thank the powers that be for thinking I was deserving of such a loyal and loving friend for so long.
And what's awesome about them is that they KNOW they rule!![]()
