This came from my neighborhood watch newsletter, thought I'd share it.

June M. Ramos, Western States Info network recently wrote a report titled "Lethal Lollypops"

Recent intelligence repts around the country indicate a growing trend of manufacture and sale of lollypops containing controlled substances. They're finding substances vary from Psilocybin mushrooms to heroin. Unique to these lollypops are their appealing, brightly colored packaging. Hope everyone has a safe and sane one.

XOXO

Hey Steph: Please contact your Neighborhood Watch Newsletter editor and ask `em where I can purchase some of these wondrous confections. I'm in the market for an insanely fun Halloween this year! :rotate:

[Sounds more like typical pleasure-killing paranoia than a true news story to me. It'll undoubtedly be "Code Orange" on the terror-alert scale that night, too.] 🙄

You Don't know the half of it !

We discovered radio-active corn-candy.

Warn your friends

Reminds me of when I was a kid, and we had to listen to the Urban Legends about people sticking needles and razor blades in fruit, while we had to deal with the reality of 14 and 15 year olds roaming my neighborhood pelting anyone they saw with enough shaving cream and eggs to put all the supermarkets in Queens in the black for the next five years.
Smart move: go out tricking and treating with your children. Share the fun. Many of the parents of young kids in my town do this. It's a good idea.

My kids are small, so I stick to the immediate surrounding neighborhoods. I don't let my kids eat unwrapped candy, like licorice sticks. As it is, I don't let them have jaw breakers, or other hard candies that pose a choking hazard. Other than that, the kids have a great time. I check their candy before they can eat it, and they're accustomed to that tradition.

The world has changed, seems it's now a contest of technology struggling to keep up with the tricks of the sickos. Sad.

Where'd all these sickos come from ?
