I remember when we both couldn't stand each other. And when we waded through epic piles of bullshit and drama not too soon after getting to know each other.

I remember sobbing my eyes out when you left to go visit Redscript. I was selfish and wanted you to stay so we could stay up late and talk.

I remember leaning on you, whenever I felt like the walls were closing in around me. And I remember you sending me a song that is forever branded into my brain as 'our thing'.

You've become one of the most important people in my life and I'm forever grateful for all that you've done and continue to do for me. I'm blessed to have someone as incredibly amazing as you and will always be thankful to God for you putting up with my shit.

I love you so incredibly much and I hope your 33rd birthday is a spectacular one. I mustn't ramble one too much more sickeningly sweet or people might think I'm in love with you.

  • Thanks for not letting smartass blonds cook only 4 strips of bacon and throwing away the rest, and in return thanks for cooking kick ass eggs at 3am in bacon grease for us in the suite.
  • Thanks for putting submissives on their knees on wooden decks in 35 degree weather.
  • Thanks for jamming your ass off with us to Aerosmith at decibels illegal in Ohio all the while getting Mike and Lyz lost with us. Mike: "Hey Auuurrra, was that Aerosmith, cuz I could hear it 3 block away?!"
  • Thanks for picking me up and dropping me off at airports in two states.

To the always beautiful Mistress Aura,

Before Albany, I hardly knew you at all. You were basically just another name on the forum and another voice on the radio show. During Albany, I got to know you and your hubby quite well and knew immediately you were both quality people and it was the start of a wonderful friendship. Since Albany, we have had chats, both on Mr. Legacy's show and off, that further showed what a truly awesome person you are. You rank up there as one of my best friends and I have missed you terribly in the months since January.

Happy birthday, Aura. I hope all the happiness you truly deserve comes your way today and things do nothing but get better for you and yours. Good luck with the wrestling show. I hope we get to hear all about it's success.

We listened to our pastor describe what he called "2am Friends" last week, i.e., the kind of friend that one could call at 2:00 in the morning and know that no matter what, that friend would be there for you--to help, to listen, to do whatever it took, regardless. As I thought about it, I recognized that I've always tried to be a 2am friend...but seeing this thread reminds me of something more important than that.

Thanks to TMF and the unusual ways He works, I have 2am friends now. I never did before.
