I read in New Scientist mag a few months ago about a prototype mobile phone (developed in japan, probably by Nokia) that can, through a vibration technology called haptics, recreate the sensation of "A slap across the face or a gentle tickle" I took it to be a physical extension of the smiley.
What can I say.
The obvious aplications are incredible
I cannot wait for the full body suit haptics concept. Effectively it'd be a real tickling machine programable to any personal desire. Think of it. Tickling for any desired length of time with adiquate breaks.
Bring on haptics. 😀
