No, Wormtail uses the Avada Kedavra spell on him, on Voldemort's orders. Wrong place, wrong time. He didn't actually do anything to piss him off.


And Sirius Black will get killed in the fifth one by the way.

When is the sixth one coming out luv? I can't wait for it! My girlfriend decided I needed "culturing" and bought me all five for my birthday last month. I read the first 4 in a week and the fifth over a fortnight. From book 3 onwards they become more adult-ish, and from book 4 onwards it's like you're reading a Stephen King novel!


n.b. Was it only the one book they had to change the title of over there, so as not to stretch the brain of the average yank too much? 😀

And I haven't heard any dates on the release 🙁 I think she likes to time things around June or Xmas.

And yes, the first book (Philosopher's Stone) is the only TITLE change to date. But of course, they Americanize somethings so as not to confuse us yanks!! 😛

Not one mentioned in the books. Also, Snape cries "Expelliarmus" during his duel with Lockheart and blows him backwards, but all that spell does is disarm someone. (Wand or weapon flys out of hand and back over their head.)


Horrible thought for the day: What would happen if someone did the disarming spell on someone who was jerking the gherkin?

What I should've said, was that it was another misrepresented spell. In the film it threw Malfoy in a series of sideways somersaults, through the air. In the book, he collapsed laughing.

Dunno, but I *am* lookin' forward to seein' just how big it is with the fully unedited version. Was done so well, compared to SOME book interpretations.

Then again, the fans are largely old enough to be well-armed...
