I've noticed the last few times I've been in the chat room, the title at the top of the window reads "Return to God website". I was just wondering if someone could clear up why that's there.

Dear Torture,

I will save Myriads some work (OK Tzar?).

The founder of this Forum, a certain Psycho/Scott, recently experienced a kind of religious revival or awakening. This talented but mercurial fellow came to see a life lived in God's service as inconsistent with his prior, outstanding accomplishments in the realm of tickling websites. A few weeks ago, apparently having access to secret TMF codes and passwords, said Scott reeentered the chatroom area and imprinted upon it the prayerful or commanding message you saw before you.

Personally, being religious myself, I've kind of grown to like it. "Return to God"?--absolutely. Can enjoying tickling be compatible with such a life-commitment? Of course.

As this is the only thing Psycho had in his name (the TMF itself isn't owned solely by him), he is using the very little leverage he has by beating his beliefs over our heads in our humble chat room. *shrug* triple d's right, who says you can't have the best of both worlds? 🙂

I myself am not a religious person. I respect others who wish to believe, but at the same time expect the same in return.

When a person tunes into a football game, they expect to view a football game and not a ballet review.

We have different "stations" for different events. I believe tickling and religion should have their own "networks" respectively.

So much for the annalogy...bottom line here is that subjects such as religion, politics, race, etc., are very passionate and heated subjects and should be discussed outside of the realm of This particular Forum. Discussing a sensitive issue such as religion, undermines the light heartedness of this Forum and it's purpose. We are all here because we appreciate tickling in one form or another.

Dear Blackstar and, especially, Mia--

PLEASE do not misunderstand my post. I would never try to make the TMF more religious or directed toward something other than tickling.

Since there has been a lot of concern or anxiety felt by some about Scott's messages, I was just expressing my view that there is no conflict between the realms in question. (It was also a response to Scott himself.)

I hope you can hear the (attempted) light-heartedness of my description of what our founder did. OF COURSE it's cool that the chatroom go back to its original name.

Personally, I hope that things like religion and politics can be touched on in the Forum, but--I agree--only in a joyful, respectful, and humble manner.

I say: in the TMF, tickling and tickling alone shall always rule!

Hey Triple D, I gotcha! I know it was kinda sarcastic. I was really just saying what Mia said. Respect those who aren't religious as well by attempting to spread anything in it's proper place. And this isn't one of those places for it. After all, there are 100x as many religious sites as there are tickling sites. Do it there, and keep this place tickling related.

Dug covered it pretty well.

The one difference I'll point out, is that Scott had no secret codes. He had registered the chat room in his name in the first place, and had paid for it. So it was in fact his. He could have taken it back anytime he wished. I'd hoped to continue using it until it was time to re-up the registration in November, but clearly he had a change of attitude about that.

We'll buy a replacement room as soon as cash frees up to do so. Until them we'll live with the God Chat.
