Dependent on how active or not you are, or even if you're just a lurker observing:

Do you feel a bit more confident about discussing your fetish/interest/kink openly due to what the forum provides? Or are you still a bit hesitant on letting it all (or most of it) into the open?

Or would you consider yourself fairly open from the get-go, so there's really been no change.
 
It's an ongoing process, but I get increasingly open with it every day. The people I have gotten to know here have certainly helped with that. 🙂
 
I've never really thought about this. I've done a lot of research/poking around online and elsewhere over the years to help identify and come to terms with my sexuality, and this forum has definitely been a big part of that. So yes.
 
Abso-freakin-lutely. I'm definitely still a work-in-progress, and will be for a long time, but I've come a looooong way
 
I have recently began to post more. I have been a member for a looooonnnng time, and now that you mention it, I do feel more confidence the more that I post.
 
Definately still keeping it on the dl. I'm not much of a confident person to begin with though.
 
I'd never tell my RL friends about my love of being tickled no more than I would relate to them my sex life...
But in here... we all share the same interest so there really isn't any reason to be shy or unconfident about tickling on the TMF.
 
Yes, my time on the forum, including posting and reading stories and having online conversations with open-minded people, have brought my fetishistic world and my real-life world slightly closer.
 
Not a bit. If anything, it's quite the opposite, and the confidence I've grown is despite it, born of my will, my grasp of reality, and certitude in my ethics, intentions and actions.
 
Well, I don't let my real life friends in on this little fetish of mine, but let's just say that it wouldn't be nearly the big deal I used to think it would be if I did. So yeah, you could definitely say my confidence has increased quite a bit.

Absolutely I think it has helped. I've been open about it, but I think that going to a place everyday where it's common and you can speak openly about it has put my mind more at ease about discussions and how to take the direction of conversations and actions.
 
Has this forum helped my confidence with this fetish, behind the scenes I will say yes.

I have lurked for a few years then opened up a little bit by meeting some people from here and felling better about myself knowing there are more people out there my age with the same fetish along with some experiences.

Recently actually, I just told the hottest girl I ever dated whom i have a good relationship & knows most about me. She has been curious of the bdsm world herself so it has definitely re-kindled our relationship & could bring her into it.

I find myself when I'm not dating, lurking and searching a lot, this being one of those times. I've been more open to talk about it in person and am comfortable knowing if the feeling is somewhat mutual.

This site made me realize with many people who don't have this fetish, there are skeletons in the closet with almost everyone i get personal with in some sort of kinky way.

With us, its more of a fixation we have with it and are constantly wanting to explore our fetish more than most who wait for the proper time to explore.

Most girls say the same thing to me that I'm a very good looking/ nice guy that most women would love to explore things like this with.

I've come to terms with it as something we all have inside that we just don't speak about unless the person/conversation is right.

My next move is to start posting pictures which I will do soon. Feedback would be most appreciated.

Actually the crazy thing is my life outside of this forum has caused me to de-lurk and actually start contributing to this site.
As far as confidence is concerned in real-life I'm quite full of it. (and full of myself from time to time 😛 )
Although the awesome active folks on this site have definitively built up my confidence on the internet...
so again yall are awesome!!!

I think it just gave me a better way to express myself. I wouldn't say though that being part of a tickling forum does much more than give me something in common with other people who also feel somewhat that talking anywhere else about tickling would be unwelcome.

The TMF has completely changed my perspective. I was so ashamed of liking tickling and felt like such a freak when I joined. I still have moments of doubt, but I definately have come to terms with it a lot more. So in answer to your question, hell yes! 😀
