I’m just wondering if anyone here has been outed against their will for being into tickling. If so, what happened? Did you lose friends? Was it all fine? I’m curious.

I was outed at a high school party back in the day in the act of tickling a girls feet. She was being very flirty in an attempt to cheer me up after a rough break up I had. We were separated from the rest of the people in the basement at that point. I actually played with this girls feet once in class because she was poking her foot along the side of my desk. So her cheer up attempt at this party included her feet. We had fun and she definitely cheered me up.

A while later when we were both back amongst the party crowd, we started talking again and I wanted to tickle her feet some more so we went into the bathroom to play. We didn’t think to lock the door and people came in and busted us mid-tickles. Her laughing drew them in.

I believe I handed it correctly by acting like it was no big deal. There was some teasing and comments, but nothing very serious. I ultimately was very glad it happened because I met and tickled two other girls as a result of that incident.

I’m not ashamed or shy about my interest and appreciation of pretty feet and tickling.

Friends of mine that I've explicitly not told about my shenanigans have dropped pretty explicit hints they're fully aware of what I'm up to. It didn't help we ended up sharing a broader social circle with people who have gotten involved directly with said shenanigans that I didn't initially know. Yes, I was outed once or twice when I was younger. Apart from this one time involving a family member, there was never any negative repercussions over it. These days I'm totally up front about what I do and nobody cares.

And frankly, if anybody did care, I'd drop them. Life's too short to deal with judgemental bullies. I'd go so far as to say anyone who reacted badly was never really your friend in the first place.

Same as Comfort Eagle. I told my friends who helped with the video stores of course, but not all of them were involved. Still, pretty much everyone found out eventually. No big deal.

I think I'm in the midst of being outed right now as a rigger, if not a tickler. Pretty sure I already told this story out here somewhere.

My wife Laura and I follow a lot of local music, and often hang around certain venues and festivals. We have a friend group around this who are not in the know about any kinks.

Earlier this summer, Laura was talking to a group of ladies at a windy outdoor show while nearby some guys from a band were fumbling around trying to get a banner tied up to a shitty frame. It was going poorly, so I walked over to help. The band just kind of stepped back and let me at it, so I untied and retied everything while they finished setting up. With the right knots and tie-off angles, it went fast and we had a nice, smooth, secure banner in no time.

The ladies with Laura noticed and began asking her whether I was a sailor, or a fisherman, or a scout troop leader, or...? Finally she just said I was a "hobbyist."

They've been teasing her like crazy ever since, and she says they've all but asked her if we're into bondage. We were out again just last night, and when one of my buddy's girlfriends got a little out of hand, another one suggested I tie her up. So it's only a matter of time, if it hasn't happened already.

Not too much of it. A bit of shaming from a friend who was worse off than I was. Couple girls as friends who would post shit on my Facebook wall about tickling.

I think though one of the times I really felt it was when I was seeing this girl and we went to some redneck wedding for her friend, and while he initially thought it was kind of funny when I met him that I tickled her, I guess she shared around that it didn't manifest any significant sexual moves (or sexual enough for her), because on the way out after the whole shindig he decided it was appropriate to mention something to the effect of "hey, y'know, it's OK to just have sex, right? If I was "outed", it was by someone who was far more prolific a tickler than I was.

Had a female friend in middle and high schools who was very ticklish but either liked it or didn't dislike it. There were many, many occasions where I'd tickled her. A mutual friend (more hers than mine) was part of a duo who would regularly hold this girl down and tickle her for extended periods of time, from before I even knew them through at least college. I've never been "outed" in the way it seems to be implied in this thread. No one has ever announced my attraction to tickling to other people in an attempt to expose, embarrass, etc. me. However, I think you could logically say that I gradually get outed to people as I get to know them closely. I'm the type of person that, as I get to know people well and get comfortable with them, I might sneak in a quick tickle or gentle rib poke in response to friendly teasing or playful banter. Likewise, I've tickled every boyfriend I've ever had until he cried, so I guess I was outed to them, too.
