Have you ever seen someone shopping barefoot?

I know it's too cold for that now, but in the summer, in Nebraska anyways, every so often you will see a woman, and even man walking through wal mart, or the grocery store barefoot. I think it's awesome! What about you, and are you a culprit?

Yeah quite a few times, I used to work in a supermarket, In fact While I was workig in mcdonalds I often saw girls coming in there barefoot too 😛

I've never seen people running around shopping centres or streets barefoot during the day, but town centres on a Friday and Saturday night are always full of women walking around barefoot carrying the horribly uncomfortable shoes they've been tottering around in all night. It's nice to see, me being the perv that I am, but at the same time it makes me wonder why you'd spend £100+ on a pair of strappy stillettos if they hurt so much you HAVE to take them off? :-o

I find it horribly unsanitary, but admit I am phobic about walking barefoot outside my home. You have no idea of who or what did something on the street before you come walking in your bare feet...........

I'm not phobic about anything really but I pretty much always wear boots, even inside the house. (used to have a lot of broken glass on the floor)

but after a short while their soles turn black, however I'd love to grab a sponge and clean their feet

Just the other day I was in London and saw Keira Knightley walking barefoot on the street with a shopping bag in her hand.

Her soles were quite filthy and I offered to scrub them clean for her.

Too bad she slapped me across the face. 😱

I've seen it on occasion; I've even seen people take their shoes off in the nightclub which I work at - I wouldn't be doing that if you paid me!

yes. it was at a f&$#ing shoe store.......can you believe it?????????????? I remember a cute girl from high school and another one from college that went barefoot everywhere. To see a barefoot shopper is not that rare in Georgia, even in spite of the signs posted against it.

It happens here sometimes, but generally speaking, we enforce the "no shoes, no service" policies.

I think the main fear is that someone will step on something, injure themselves, and then sue the store.

That actually seems kind of disgusting and irresponsible, to me. Not only doe swalking around outside barefoot make one's feet awfully dirty (not my thing, I know some people do like seeing that but not I), but it also puts one in danger of cutting or hurting their feet should they step on something sharp or with an edge. Also, many parasites and diseases can enter the body through the feet.

All in all, I think it's a bad idea to walk around barefoot anywhere except in your own home or around a pool (and even then, there's still some danger).

Yes, I believe all stores have some sort of policy of 'No shirt, no shoes, no service'.

In the summertime, I'll occasionally see someone walk into the store barefoot. I'll remind them that they should have shoes on, but I don't refuse service when they don't.

I'm a barefoot kind of gal. If I could, I would go barefoot all the time. 😀
