The drug that I found the most fun was LSD. I never had a bad trip, but I knew this guy that had one of the most godawful trips, and that kind of scared me off of it.

Ah, LSD. My favorite drug by far, eventhough I had some really intense trips on it. (being sucked into your head and losing contact with your senses, not seeing or feeling anything that happens outside your head) But for me it's a great way of derailing my normal train of thought and seeing life from a different perspective.

and expensive, too! I know people who've blown so much cash for pot...

Well, I'm stuck to my couch all evening for the equivalent of about $5,- 😀

God, what a great country I live in 😎

I've done weed numerous times... I've only gotten really high off it like maybe 4 times. Sometimes that really is a waste of money.
I also did weed before my first tickling experience ... dumbest idea ever? Yeah I would say so!

I've done coke once .. it was dumb. All I felt was really ancy and pathetic. Never doing that one again!

I want to try acid really bad. I want to try anything that will give me a really awesome trip where I forget where I am and everything! Ah .. maybe one day!

Other than that .. eh. I don't do too much bad stuff ... haha 😉

As a "child of the 60's", I did quite a bit of hallucinogens, mostly LSD, along with some pot and hash, in my late teens, as did most of those I knew at the time. Had a couple of bad experiences when getting a larger dose than expected a couple of times, even ending up in the hospital for a shot of Thorazine once. But I guess I mainly gave it up around the time I started college, feeling a bit "scrambled" by then and having doubts about being able to stay focused on my school work if I kept it up. Continued smoking pot for years after that, though, but as a nicotine addict as well, the smoking of both got to be a bit much on my lungs, and the nicotine being more addictive it was easier to give up the pot, which I smoked less and less of over time, gradually giving way to regular beer drinking instead, a habit which I finally gave up completely about four years ago, after gradually just losing my taste for it for some reason.

I'll still share in a joint once in awhile if someone "forces" it on me, as I have a few friends and family members who still smoke it regularly (with whom I've also had a line or two of coke on occasion), a couple of them even rather "serious" potheads, and as they often seem rather insistent about everyone else joining in with them, it's usually easier to go along than say no, and knowing that it's not a particularly harmful drug, if the "biggest" potheads I've known get to acting sort of stupid when they're perpetually high. Which got to be an issue with my having to constantly be keeping track of things for an ex-girlfriend and her grown daughter with whom I was living for awhile a few years ago, as their almost constantly stoned "condition" gave them both a rather serious case of constant forgetfulness. That got somewhat tiring.

So, as I gather a few others here have implied, I have nothing against "recreational" drug use in moderation, as long as one's use doesn't cause serious issues for others. And I certainly think most illicit drugs should be legalized, and that in the long run there would be fewer problems associated with them if they were. But I won't debate that issue here, having worn myself out a bit on that one in the P&R forum some time ago.

😀

You can always try smoking it out a pipe. Any pipe will do; I have several normal pipes which I use for smoking tobacco in which work fine with weed.

A pipe...right...I uh...still wouldn't know where to start LOL What you just stuff it in the hole and...yeah...I need a weed-mentor 😀

Shrooms are fun but you need to know what you're doing, best to use it with someone who's got experience with it so if something goes wrong in your head they know what to do.

:sigh: and a shrooms-mentor plz 😀

But I can drink alcohol all by myself!!!!! 😀 😀 😀

Feel free to PM if you have any questions regarding the use of certain substances 😉

Uh, yeah, pretty much. Using a pipescreen (small bit of metal meshwork) does help in keeping the weed inside. Just put it in the pipe, light it and inhale. Effects are great, although the weed sold in the US that I came into contact with is of poor quality.

I must say I find it interesting that, seeing most of the people who voted here are Americans, almost ¾ used drugs, eventhough living in a country that has had a WAR on drugs for the past decades.

Seems that war is an utter failure.

Who was the candidate that tried to run recently and a major point of his was to legalize everything so that the drug wars ended? I could've sworn there was one.

LOL! You know you're contributing to the corruption of a very sweet and innocent young girl!! 😛

I don't know who that candidate was, but I think making all drugs legal is a little reckless. Weed, however, should totally be legal. I would SO much rather sit around and get on the weekend than go out and get drunk. Weed doesn't give you a hangover and doesn't make you puke. Oh, and it doesn't dull your ticklishness 🙁

Yeah, well, I'm a bit divided on the subject. On one hand it would solve drugwars. And more importantly you can give the people who buy it proper education and offer help if they become addicted.

On the other hand, I've used speed, and it's pure shit. And addicting. But then again, eventhough it was illegal I could still buy it in large quantities and at prices cheaper than that of the cheapest booze. As a matter of fact it's easier for a minor in the US to get hold of heroin than it is to get alcohol.

True - it's what they did for alcohol, and it worked! You don't have people selling alcohol on the street corners - it wouldn't make sense. Hm..go to the liquor store and buy alcohol I know is safe, or buy it from the guy on the corner in the unmarked glass bottle???

I'm in an area in between "I'd like to try" and "I never will." Of coarse it all depends on the drug. I can safely say that I never intend to do something like Meth, because that shit fucks you up... Probably wouldn't do crack, either, because of the rare instances of sudden death associated with it. But when it comes to something like marijuana, that really doesn't have many harmful effects (in moderation) and appears to be illegal for no good reason, I can't say I'd never try it.

Yeah, "marijuana is unharmful in moderation" is a little misleading, and I won't say that using it occasionally is neccessarily a bad thing. However, you need to know that Marijuana has the potential to be more harmful than you could ever imagine, and it really shouldn't be painted in a "soft drug" light.

It's illegal for good reason. Just because something is "socially accepted", it doesn't mean it should be legal, and it doesn't make it less harmful. That's a big misconception with weed, and ultimately is one of the many reason why people end up addicted to it. Simply because it is so socially accepted.

Think about this, and take into account what you already know about alcohol and what it does to people. Had alcohol never existed until now, do you reckon it would be legal or illegal? I believe it would be illegal, but each to their own.

Alcohol is legal and unfortunately it's the most abused drug out there. For Indigenous Australians like myself, alcohol has almost destroyed my entire race of people. And alcohol is the most 'socially accepted' drug out there.

Ice Junkies should feel lucky that meth only takes months to take its toll on them physically and mentally. Marijuana is a slower, much slower and subtle deteriorating process, but a bad path none-the-less.

I don't mean to lecture you at all, luv2tikl, but I just get a little concerned when I hear people say stuff like "marijuana appears to be illegal for no good reason".

Which harmful effects? Easy to overdose perhaps? Or physically very addictive?

I grew up in the 70s and drugs were a big part of the culture. Not everyone used illegal drug, but a huge part of the younger generation were using them. I have tried just about all of them...most of them just once but I still smoke pot...(It's my Xanax) I have never stuck a needle in my arm and pretty much knew where to draw the line. When cocaine became the drug of choice and readily available in the 80s I used it on occasion but I would never touch it again. At my age I am afraid to, for fear of a heart attack. I think using and abusing drugs is a fine line too. Is it more dangerous to smoke a joint than a cigarette?? Moderation is the key. I'm 51, don''t drink alchohol or use anything other than weed and I am happy. :chill:

It's a mental addiction, and it's easy to fall into the trap with weed that it isn't doing any harm to you...until it's too late.

I've had an on and off addiction to the stuff for a few years, and it takes it's toll. The mental addiction for me was a slow process, and on top of that, not realising it until you're knee deep. I quit for six months, and all it took was one joint to draw me back in.

Marijuana destroys families just like other drugs do, but I've seen first hand how that destruction takes time, and the longer time it takes, the harder it becomes to reconciliate.

Weed is a soul destroying drug. I'm not the person I was three years ago.

And finally, because Marijuana falls lightly under 'Psychadellics', there is every possible chance that if you have a predetermined mental illness, the weed will bring that out.

To answer your question Boxr, smoking a joint, whether it be straight green, or mixed out with backy, it's far worse for your health than cigarettes. The damage it does to your lungs outweighs cigarettes tenfold. And whilst bongs are my preference, they do the worst damage to your body, particularly plastic bongs.

I know it sounds hypocritical, but I just can't advocate Marijuana use.

Hey, just out of curiosity, are people polling 'no' even though they drink alcohol? Cuz yeh, alcohol is the worst drug of all.

I like to get wankered as often as possible. However, anything I take I research first and my first time is always in a safe place, never in a club.

Hmmm... Well, I'm certainly nowhere close to being well-educated on this issue, so the comment is appreciated. I did do a little bit of research before posting, and I found that sources consistently stated that the physical effects associated with marijuana were minimal, so that's what I ran with. I had heard such statements before as well.

Yes, the mental addiction is a factor to be considered, but you most likely have a knack for addictions.

Also recent studies have shown that marihuana does not increase the risk of developing lung cancer.

But if people are addicted to something, it's better to be addicted to marihuana than to for instance alcohol or cocaine.

Ron Paul?

Could be.

I just remember watching the democratic debates with my dad and no matter what questions were asked, this gent would consistently bring it back to drugs and how if all drugs were legalized it would end the majority of crime and then we'd all live happily ever after. Or something like that.

Hmm, Ron Paul isnt a democrat, he's the Republican enfent terrible.

But he surely has got a point. Instead of banning everything and thinking it will go away does not work. At least legalizing would open the door for strict regulation and help for those who become addicted.

From personal experience, I can say acid is somewhat fun.

I was watching the Matrix while on it, and it had the weird effect of making the sound distorted coming from the movie while the sound of other things around me (like people talking) remained normal.

My depth perception was also distorted, so things often appeared bigger than they really were.

What was truly trippy though was when I looked into a mirror. The mirror itself seemed somewhat fluid, and I could see my pupils quickly contracting and expanding.

If you ever choose to do acid, make sure you have a lot of time to work with. I only did one tab, and it lasted like 5 hours.

I must say I find it interesting that no one has voted "No, but I'd like to try" yet...

I guess it's so easy to get a hold of drugs, that everyone who DOES want to try them have the ability to do so...

Hence the futility of the War on Drugs... 😉
