I totaly agree with you. Alcohol has becomed more of a "tradition" than a "substance to get buzzed". But I enjoy it more than the experiences I had with drugs.

Don't get me wrong; I enjoy a pint of real ale as much as the next person. But in this country, binge drinking is a massive problem. The amount of shit that I see, working at a bar, only confirms my stance on alcohol.

It's the abuse of a substance which is bad, it's not the use of substances in general. Enjoy in moderation. 🙂

Yeah I can understand you dude. I been to UK several times and seen how the drinking culture is compared to here. Even the "typical" norwegian only to get drunk, you don't see so much abuse of it. Here we have more of a drug problem. Drug addicts everywhere. Here in Oslo the drug addicts is allmoust like a "tourist attaction" itself. The first thing you meet when you go outside of the Oslo central train station (the place all tourists come to) the first thing you see is a horde of like 50 drug addicts gathered. This is also on of the reasons why I move away from Oslo cause it turned into a big crap hole filled with garbage.

Nope, I've never done any illegal substances in my life and I never will. There were too many druggies when I was in school and I've seen how bad it fucks some of those people up. I will leave any situation if someone does any drugs in my presence. Whatever you do, I don't care. Just don't do it when I'm around.

There was one kid I knew, he was a year younger than me. He was very popular, had a wonderful girlfriend, and was an amazing track star. Then he fucked up his life by starting to smoke pot and it got out of control. Now he's a loser who hangs out with other losers who don't know how to stay out of trouble. It's sad 'cause he had a lot going for himself but he chose drugs.

Like Artoo says, it's the substance abuse that is the issue. When you look at it like that, alcohol appears to be the a devestatingly bad drug.

A few people here might say, 'I just don't want to be around people when they are taking drugs", but honestly, I'd much rather be around someone who's high than somebody who's drunk.

I've smoked up a few times. It was OK. I'd do it again in the right situation. I've never had the desire to do anything more.

I've done zoomers, hash/hash oil, oxycontin and pot. The only drug I have ever had that has a pull on me is Morphine (Kidney stones). Maybe it's effect was magnified because I went from agony to utter bliss on a number of occasions but it was heavenly. Nowadays I still won't turn down mushrooms but that's about all I would actually go out of my way to purchase.

That's someone who doesn't understand the concept of recreational drug use. Most important thing is not to lose yourself in it and neglect your responsibilities. Get buzzed on drugs, fine, but not if you have to work in the morning.

I had a friend, who smoked weed on a daily basis. One day at her place I tried as well. I felt dizzy and sick and terribly nauseaus for almost an hour, and that was it. No need to ever try again.

Alcohol and weed. I've always wanted to try shrooms, and I'm sure I would in the right situation - but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it. Weed is similar -- I haven't smoked in about two years, only because I don't go out of my way to get some (and unless it's handed to me, I have no idea how to roll or otherwise prepare it - if you hand me a bag of weed I'll spend the rest of my life trying to figure out how to turn it into something I can actually use to get high LOL)

The thought of cocaine makes my skin crawl for personal reasons, and I'd never get anywhere near it. Really I wouldn't do anything harder than weed - it just strikes me as too dangerous.

Alcohol on the other hand...well...I lovers it

Yes,I have smoked pot and taken shrooms in the past.Shrooms only a couple times though and I still somke occasionally.Smoking is great but for me it's not worth losing my job over so that limits my intake.Not only that, but smoking a lot affects my lung performance more now then when I was younger and that has a negative impact on some other activites.


As for alcohol,I love Guinness.

I have used pot numerous times. I got tired of it, because it got to the point that I would just veg in front of the TV. I used cocaine a few times,but I was not really into stimulants. The drug that I found the most fun was LSD. I never had a bad trip, but I knew this guy that had one of the most godawful trips, and that kind of scared me off of it. I also loved absinthe, but I do not know if that qualifies as an illegal drug.

Today, I barely drink. Also, I would not use a drug unless I know where it came from. A lot of the Marijuana comes from Mexico which is controlled by a bloody violent drug cartels. Too many drugs are tainted by blood.

You can always try smoking it out a pipe. Any pipe will do; I have several normal pipes which I use for smoking tobacco in which work fine with weed.

And I noticed when I was in Florida that most Americans surely DO NOT know how to roll a decent joint. They just put weed in a paper and twist it into something godawful.

Shrooms are fun but you need to know what you're doing, best to use it with someone who's got experience with it so if something goes wrong in your head they know what to do.

As far as I'm concerned cocaïne is by far the most overrated drug. Thing is that it mostly boosts your confidence, but if you already have enough of that it's just a very expensive buzz and it cancels out alcohol. (so when you're getting nice and drunk you're pretty much sober all of a sudden which is a big bummer) I know people who are addicted to it and they're just about the biggest losers I know.
