Do any of you have experience with leaky gut syndrome? I'm going through this and could use advice.

Hi Hon~I might be able to help if you can provide the actual clinical name of the disorder. I've never heard of this and I work in a HOSPITAL. 🙂

XOXO

Okay, got it!

The clinical name is IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) My sister has it.

Sufferers tend to also suffer from:
Chronic Fatigue

Food allergies

Yeast infections

Sinus infections

Irritable bowels and/or leaky gut

Brain fog or headaches

Sound like anyone you know? 😉

These symptoms are often caused or made worse by an overgrowth of yeast and/or other fungi that harm your immune and digestive systems. High levels of yeast in the body release toxins that can negatively affect your whole body. When yeast levels get too high in the intestines, it begins morphing into its fungal form that puts roots down into the intestinal walls. By burrowing into the intestinal walls, yeast disrupts your body's ability to properly process foods. It also allows too large food particles to be released into the blood stream, a condition known as leaky gut. Without proper nutritional absorption, the body can become weakened and become susceptible to all of the above conditions.

It's mostly uncomfortable and inconvienient for the person who has it but certain things can be done to manage it BETTER. Stress makes it worse, and certain foods should be avoided~like those that are spicy (my sister can't eat salami, pepperoni, etc).

There are some organic means of treating (i.e. certain supplements that help regulate yeast in your system) and more Western meds (prescription drugs)
Do you have a good GI doctor?

XOXO
