I was just thinking back to when I discovered the online tickling world sometime back in the early 2000's. I remember searching for "Women's feet" into my AOL search bar and finding some random pictures and some random sites hinting at a foot fetish. One of the suggested keyword searches was the old magic touch productions video site which i instantly favorited after. I remember looking at the preview pictures an reading the vid descriptions over and over again. At that moment I became aware of my love of ticking and luckily enough they were affiliated with the TMF in the earlier days of the genre. I clicked the banner which led me to this lovely site.

I am wondering about the pioneers of the fetish. I would like to know more about those who blazed a trail in the early days of the net for our little kink. Was the TMF the first forum dedicated to tickling? what was the first site?

maybe there is a historian out there who knows more than I.

also feel free to share your own online "origins" story describing how you stumbled upon to the modern day tickling fetish world that we all know and love.

It's kind of funny to think back on the fact that there's been an online tickling community for a good long time now. I first discovered this online world about fifteen years ago, and the first site I can remember finding was the Bronze Age version of Tickle Town (at least I think it was called that back then, whatever site oblesklk was running at the time). It was life-changing.

I salute all of the figures who have pioneered this community, and there are many who have done a lot to make the scene what it is today. I look forward to reading some of their responses.

Click on my link in my footer to see a little bit of history from 1998 ;-)

peace out,

The TMF was the first site that used forum based technology in the tickling website world.

We started on the old free EZboard system that was offered in the late 90's, and our rapid growth led to the purchase of the dedicated software that we are still using (many generations later) today, on our own server (also upgraded many times, as recently as 2 weeks ago)

I've kept a casual history of the community on the web and someday when I'm motivated I'll turn it into something that reads well, but I wouldn't hold my breath. More often then not I answer bits like this.

With shaking hands, I discovered it on Prodigy in the mid 90's. I couldn't eat or sleep for at least a week.

Keep in mind that much of what we enjoy today was an evolution from text based dial-up bulletin boards, long before html web browsers had been created.

Most of the early digital content (i.e. stories & pics) came from subscription porn BB’s, which eventually made its way to the old newsgroups.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

OK, if someone can tell me who the models are, or which company produced this, I'd be forever thankful :)

It's an old pic from FM Concepts, and most likely the original VHS video was never digitized. But it could never hurt to ask them right?

And BTW – she was nowhere near as ticklish as the still picture made her to appear to be.

It's a very early Fm with a code number under 40, perhaps even under 30. They have discontinued these for the most part, but it might be on their pay for clips site.

I have it on VHS someplace. It's a decent segment for that period of FM, not great, not bad. I'd say put the time into finding it if only something specific about the model really hits a button.

I remember we corresponded by regular mail during the days before the internet. Through various fetish magazines, Village Voice, men's magazines, personals etc.

Yeah, thinking about those times, when everybody had a shitty dialup connection and the internet looked crappy and computers where shitty, that just really makes me feel glad I'm living in the present.

I gotta give my props to TMF. This really is the number place to go for tickling. Its almost like "Tickle Facebook". And it almost has been.

Mail Correspondence? wow. those must have been the dark ages of the fetish. lol I'll take the instant gratification of the internet over snail mail any day.

anyone remember the relics like swtickle? even better were the angelfire sites and yahoo groups that were prominent in the early 2000's.

Heh, I remember finding the TMF and being blown away that it existed. This had to have been like 10 years ago or something, too.

It's still a great place with great people, just like it was then. :)

Wow...people would actually write letters.

That's how it was done.... ads in the B&D Publications tabloids, swapping VHS tapes and photos (and audio cassettes), remarking on the latest magazine someone had found. The 'ticklish celebrities' list here on the TMF goes back to those days.

yeah, I thought it was probably FM. Thanks for the info guys :)

The internet has certainly had a crazy influence on society as a whole.

Pioneers that come to mind are SWTickle, Realtickling, Magic Touch, Paradise Vision, FM Concepts and a few others cannot remember names of right now.

This is true for the forum based technology, however the Hoteltickle did employ a messageboard system through "inside the web" back in 1998 which was in a way similar, just messier! It basically had no individual categories...just a main thread and replies but it was useful and used quite often! :)

daddy

Yessir, I recall these pioneer sites. Back when most people had dial-up internet if anything, there was only one computer in the house so if you did check things out, you had to wait till no one was home AND erase the site history afterwards. Or if you were like me, you'd sneak some views during lunch or after school when no one was around cuz school actually had internet that didn't knock you off whenever there was an incoming call. Or, when cell phones weren't quite as prevalent and a lot more expensive, so whenever you'd wanna make a long distance call.....say, to A.N.A's tickle line to hear the laugh of the day, you had to have an excuse lined up for mom and dad for why there are extra charges on the phone bill. Ok, so I never did that one, but I did contemplate it lol.

I'm not even 30 yet and this has me feeling like a dinosaur.

I started with foot fetish magazines back around 1983. In the personal section you could order foot tickling pictures and 8mm films. That seems so primitive now. When I bought my first computer around 1995, there was mainly sites for photos. Feetonline was my first video revelation. I discovered Tickletheater.com before TMF. Now TMF pretty much has a monopoly in regard to our fetish. TMF helped me greatly to come out of the closet and to get over feeling weird and ashamed of my foot thing. Thanks to everyone involved.

Wow, I thought I was the only person who remembered Prodigy!!! I used Prodigy as far back as 1992!!!!!

I basically did the same thing. Google searched tickling and a ton of things popped up. I was amazed lmao. Tickling, bondage tickling, tickling scenarios, you name it.
