Hockey Season!!!

I still can't believe the Rangers parted with Brian Leetch... to Toronto of all places, too! More than that, I can't believe we didn't resign him 🙁 Boston may be on the rocks, but they've still got a great Defenceman in Brian Leetch.

Go figure, Leafs have to play Thornton and the Sharks tomorrow night.... Go Leafs Go!! :manicd:

i couldn`t believe when they traded him....ugh...still makes me sick

btw....Rangers now tied for first in the league with Ottawa :bouncybou

LETS GO RANGERS!!!

... and my Leafs keep slumping  Dallas tomorrow, time to turn the tide 😀

i dunno, dallas is playing pretty well!

can't help it, im a stars fan!

woo hoo!

hehehe, yeah Dallas are a good team! Hopefully Belfour can beat his old team tonight to move into second in the all-time wins category for Goalies 😀

Here in NYC we dont get all the Ranger games. We get like half and the rest are on this ridiculous outdoor life channel. My temper hit the roof when the Rangers were playing the RedWings and it wasnt on MSG. I called the cable company and they said to buy the Center Ice Package at $150 bucks!!! NO THANKS!! So I watch some. I really like Marcel Hossa. Want to get his jersey but NHL merchandise is practically non-existent. You cant even buy a grey or white shirt!!! Maybe next year. :sadcry:

Dallas keeps on rollin'!

was a good game, but the leafs couldn't keep up!!

(sorry leaf) =P

Sorry to hear your frustration, Sacrifice 🙁 For merchandise you could try the NHL.com site, I think you can purchase just about anything there. And I've heard this OLN is a total joke... if that happened to Leaf fans there would be a riot here, lol. Well, be happy with your Rangers... they continue to roll :wow:

ack, don't remind me! :manicd: You got a great goalie in Turco, Krokus... if he's not on Team Canada for the Olympics I'll be really surprised. Leafs are totally out of synch right now... they had a closed door, players only meeting after the game 🙁

Well, as the FORMER stars fan that I was (long story)

After much research and debate, I've found a new team to root for! =P

Even though they aren't playing that well right now... lol

So...who are your picks for the stanley cup?

I would normally say Leafs all the way, lol... but not at this rate :ranty:

If not Toronto, I'm going with a team in the West... and Calgary has still got as good a shot as anyone... Detroit and Vancouver could also be good bets 😀

Right now Flyers are winning with almost all rookies and Phantom players, imagine what they will do when Gagne, Esche, Desjardins, Pitkanen, and Primeau come back. I think Gagne is actually supposed to return tonight, GO FLYERS!!! BEAT OTTAWA!!!! :xpulcy:

The East is the toughest by far.... all of those teams have a shot. New Jersey, New York, Philly, Tampa, Ottawa... hell, even Buffalo!! Have you seen the run the Sabres have been on the last month or so?!

Go Leafs Go!! 😀

That is great that you started this thread. Someone needed to. Even if it was a Flyers fan 😛 .

And the Leafs keep rollin', rollin', rollin', rollin' :bouncybou Look out Rangers, we're right behind you! 😛 :woot:

Devils have won 3 straight. They take on the SIZZLING HOT Philadelphia Cheesesteaks in the Meadowlands tomorrow night. Philadelphia is in the midst of an unheard of 11 game roadtrip and they are 7-0-1 on this long journey. Home will probably be really sweet when they get there regardless of how their trip finishes. Facts be facts, they are right now the best team in hockey. So as a Devils fan, my hats off to the Flyers in what they have had to deal with on the roadtrip and they have continued to roll llucky sevens. Good job Philadelphia. :wavingguy

certainly have been struggling as of late........but they will get going again.

:wavingguy ....looking at the leafs in the rearview... 😀

You know as much as I hate the Rangers and I hate them alot. I have to say the best game I saw this year was when the Rangers beat the Capitals in a 15 man shootout. I was watch the game and rooting hard against the Rangers and the game goes to OT and Jagr goes to the penalty box for an illegal stick. The game finished in OT with a tie resulting in the shootout. What an incredible job by both goalies in the shootout. Madison Square Garden was rocking. The fans electric. But an unbelievable shot by Marek Malik of the Rangers gave the Rangers the two points BOTH teams deserved. This shot was so incredible I ended up taping the replay of that game because I want to be able to see that shot in order to describe it. The was an amazing shot. I had never seen a shot like before in my life. I have been watching hockey since 1978. I was incredible stunned. John Davidson was like " he didn't do what I think he just did, did he? " I was so proud to see that shot live. There was only one place I would have rather have been that night and that was at MSG with the other 18,200 fans who got their money's worth that night.

LOL, that blasted game in Vancouver was robbery... robbery I say! 😀 4 points behind rangers.... only a matter of time, my friend 😉 Not even Sykora will save you! LOL j/k :bouncybou

ps... I'm so happy they're honoring Messier this week... I hate that he had to retire because of the lockout :sowrong:

Scott Stevens also retired because of the lockout. What no love for the hard-hitting Stevens? That is probably because he knock a few Leafs off the tree. But don't worry Stevens knocked everyone around. He didn't discriminate. You were wearing the other jersey you were destination was to get knocked on your arse. 😛 Devils have now won four in a row as they beat the hard-hitting Flyers on Monday night 3-0. The Flyers got back on their winning ways though last night as they knocked off the Blackhawks in Chicago. The Flyers 11 game roadtrip comes to a close tonight in Detroit. On this roadtrip they are 8-1-1. What an incredible trip for the Philadelphia Flyers. Friday Night Vancouver comes to town to play the Devils in the Meadowlands. Should be a good game.

THANK YOU!!

show your love hockey fans

Sad to see him go, no doubt... he was definitely one of the greats 😀 (And yes, Scott Stevens was too, lol). But Mark Messier was in another level all his own... we're talkin' Gretzky and Lemieux territory. I'd put Stevie Yzerman in this category as well... he's not retired yet, but sadly it seems his best days are behind him.

Well done NYC in raising his jersey to the rafters... awesome tribute 😀
(though I often wonder if he'd have preferred to have the honour in Edmonton where he was at his best)

Mark was a great player. But he stayed three years too long. He went out and the Rangers 1994 Cup ( 11 years ago ) is long behind them. How about make the playoffs now Rangers fans instead of living years gone by glory. Think about this for a moment... you have one ONLY 1 Stanley Cup in 66 years. Mark deserved his honor. But he was a best player in Edmonton. And here is something to think about... if you had not won a Cup in 1994 you probably would have never sent his number 11 to the rafters tonight. That Scott Stevens won 3 Cups here in New Jersey a team that does not spend money is a feat all of it's own. Am I comparing Messier to Stevens? Not a chance. One was an offense player who could change the game with his wit and score making ability. The other changed ( Stevens ) the way coaches coached. He forced line changes when he was on the ice. The great players ( your superstars ) did not hit the ice when Stevens was out there. He changed the game defensively. When Messier gaureenteed victory against my beloved Devils in game 6 in the 1994 Conference Championship I held my breath. I knew he could do it. Everyone also knew that whomever came out of the series between the Rangers/Devils they would be crowned Champions over Vancouver. The Devils/Rangers series was probably the best seven game series I ever saw. My beloved Devils lost in seven games. The Rangers won their Cup. Now the Devils have won three since the Rangers won their Cup. It would be interesting to see if we will get another series like 1994. But for now, Mark Messier you got what you so richly deserved. Your number in the rafters. Thought it would have been in Edmonton 1st but nonetheless an honor you so deserve. Congratulations Mark Messier you ARE a WINNER!!! :wavingguy
