I'm so sorry I just saw this update thread -- I'm more sorry she's going through all that (and you too... certainly *neither of you deserve half the shit flung your way... 🙄 )

but at least the doctors have said that overall the circumstances look much more positive! 🙂 I hope that information makes a difference, state of mind is very important, though of course while going through the worst treatments that's undoubtedly difficult --

Otherwise I'll repeat what I wrote elsewhere; though it's understandable that you want to rest at home, you & your mother are probably much better off where the AC works well!! You don't want to go home & suffer 🙁

On top of that, my mom's demeanor has gotten really nasty, and she seems to pick fights with me over the littlest things. That doesnt sway my commitment to her though, because, I know she doesnt mean it, and is only going off because she's bleeding, scared, uncomfortable, and in pain.

Hmm, maybe it's possible that she needs a little bit of space? You are there if there is an emergency (as you should be), but you seem a little too attached to one's mother for being 41 years old. No offense. Is there a wife, kids, or other family you can rely on as well? You have to think about yourself here too. Regardless of what happens with your mother, your life is going to go on and eventually you're going to have to prepare for the next phase of your life.

Regardless, my hopes and prayers for your mother's continued recovery if that is truly God's will. If that's not God's will as they say, there's nothing we can do except thank him for the time you've been given with your mother on this earth. Maybe God's decided the plan for your mother already.

It's times like this when I wish there was a Heaven, because if there's not, we'll never see our loved ones ever again.

Anyway, stay strong.

Mitchell, you don't have to apologize for re-bumping up this thread. You are feeling major emotional distress and freaking out right now is the time to surround yourself with friends, family, and loved ones. Never apologize about that. No need to say you are sorry-don't feel you need to apologize for expressing how you feel and wanting to be heard and to be reminded that you are loved/cared for. That is what we all want, no crime in that. I am really sorry you still are having to struggle going through this tragic and insane emotional/mental misery you are having to endure. I imagine it has to be quite the major emotional rollercoaster. I am so sorry you have to go through this Mitchell.

Just remember your mother appreciates all you are doing. That she needs you more than ever right now. You are being a great son and an amazing person right now and keep doing that-don't ever change. You are a person with great character and a big heart-that is rare and hard to find/come by nowadays. Remember don't try to be a hero-if you need help-need something from others/need support-don't be afraid to let others know you need support/need things too. Stay good to yourself and take it easy. ticklebunny, I appreciate the thoughts. I posted another thread with the new info, but, we found out more bad news today. My mom has a 103 fever, and we wont be going home anytime soon. We saw the Dr today, and he put her on antibiotics. He said that if he hospitalized her, the hospital would kick her out after 2 days. She normally cant tolerate any oral ones, but shes going to have to try.

I'm at my wits end. It's just horrible to see her so sick, and to be stuck here. Hopefully, she can get better within the week, so we can finally go home.
