How do we deal with Imposters?

Okay, in the real world, if a hot women wants to get tickled, and she's, like, 1% assertive, she's getting tickled!

And most women aren't "like, 1% assertive". Witness all the threads here about "how do I get my boyfriend to tickle me without actually asking him?"

Why would she need to be here, when she can get all the tickling she wants ..

Back me up here, ladies, but my understanding is that most of the women who come here, don't do it because they want to meet someone. The vast majority of them already have someone before they ever even log on.

So if you're spending hours cyber tickling some hottie....she's not a hottie.

Except that I've done so, so there goes that theory.

Still wondering...If there is a man claiming to be a woman and using that to mess with men on this site....

Why shouldn't they be "outed"?

Because it's your word against theirs, and it's easy to fake "evidence" that "proves" someone is misrepresenting themselves.

Golden rule = "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"

I don't understand how telling "User this and that is not a girl, he's a guy" would be not nice. It's not an insult, it's simply the truth. Don't see the rule violation here!

but my understanding is that most of the women who come here, don't do it because they want to meet someone. The vast majority of them already have someone before they ever even log on.

Bingo.

Well, I actually was on here before I had found someone, but it never even crossed my mind to find someone here. I didn't start posting before I had someone.

"An imposter on a tickling forum? Sounds like someone's looking to be the recipient of a little tar ... & feather."

YEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Bottom line.

You don't accuse people of it because you can't prove it. In almost every case where a member accuses another of lying about gender they have no proof just 'a feeling'.

So the accusation becomes a GR violation. And is actionable.

And don't even get me started about creating a rule that says 'you can't lie' in some form. One of the biggest bits of stupidity authority can ever do is create unenforcible rules.

If we catch someone with proof of identity theft its very actionable, and is. But you better be able to show us where stolen images came from, and that the user here is not that person.

Its the internet. Nothing is firm until you can put your finger on it directly somehow.

In 1983 on a computer system at my college that had a AIM like system on it, the very first person I met 'virtually' was a delightful young woman. We spoke for a few weeks, and as I was not looking for a relationship at the time, I never gave it a second thought. Six months in she turned into a he. He had done it because he was lonely and unable to talk to people and found it easier to do it as a 'woman'. I was surprised. But it also taught me my fist lesson about virtual interaction:

It's as real as you choose to make it. Why? It's only words and thoughts.

Take some time to think about why a person wants to interact with you. What are they seeking? What is their motivation? Share your trust like you would your money. Give it away only when you know it's being well spent.

This issue is a 100% personal solution one. It's not one that is solvable by rules or me demanding a photo ID of every person who registers. Take some personal responsibility for your actions.

And attacking people here for suspected reasons is a violation. And will be acted upon.

Myriads

I also want to comment on how hilarious it is to me that some members of this community are getting so butthurt because some strange guy tricked them into gratifying him, when a good portion of said community spends a rather decent amount of time trying to trick the vanillas into gratifying THEM. Not so funny when the shoe's on the other foot, so to speak, is it?

So, the next time you get some wacky scheme to tickle people by posing as a podiatrist, or think it would be great to plant some "seeds" on a massage forum so you can yank it over hearing "The Word", you might want to remember this thread.

If you confirm that the person in question is indeed an impostor.........simple solution, deleted, blocked and banned. OR publicly outed and let the masses deal with said impostor. Let that person live with and deal with the guilt and reap with was sown.
Personally I like the latter of the aforementioned.

Did you read the thread? 🙂

I totally agree.

To single out a member of the forum publically and call them an imposter? Whether they are right or not is always going to be in question. It no ones place to be the identity police, this has been said countless times.

Bare in mind wrongly accused members have felt like this isn't the place for them as a result of this sort of thing, and thatisnt good for the community, it has to be taken as something to avoid doing to help ensure that sort of thing doesn't become a regular event.

Its simple, if you think someones faking then you make the choice whether or not you want to talk to them or not.

Golden rule = "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"

I hate to nitpick-You know, now that that I think about it, that isn't entirely true. I am TIRED of nitpicking. But here I go again.
The Golden rule is, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." AKA "Treat others as you wish to be treated."

Just putting that out there.

I haven't read any of the other comments, so sorry if this sounds redundant.

You say you are new to this site. Are you also new to the internet? How about the world?

Dude, don't be a D-bag. I'm only asking because this person contacted me. I'm not that gullable to think everyone on here is who they say they are or they look like their characterized signature. I only want to help out the other guys on here so they don't go off sending pics of themselves for another pervert's spank bank.

I realize there's no perfect answer to it. I'm surprised the forum doesn't take even the slightest form of action against those who actively seek out unsuspecting members, (as opposed to members who seek it out themselves) but so be it. It's true, it's probably impossible to police. For that reason, I certainly wont, and haven't, started a flame war with this person. But if men out there care to know who I THINK is being dishonest, I'll give them MY OPINION in a PM. Besides that, it's a dead issue.

Later!

Incorrect, it is as I stated, as a moderator on this forum I am well aware of the rules thankyou 🙂

That's a pretty weak comparison. Outright lying about your gender versus coaxing an easy tickle out of vanillas who don't know it excites you? That's a pretty warped moral standard if you ask me.

And can you verify that the people complaining about getting burned (or if you prefer your more familiar prison-slang, "butthurt") by homosexuals in cyber drag are the same people that somehow "trick" vanillas into ticklish situations?

You might want to also remember that the female imposters of which we speak are limited to online shenanigans. But those of us who legitimately satisfy our tickle craving with vanilla friends and family? We can and do operate in the real world, Phineas. And there's not a goddam thing you can do about it! :doublefinger:

If you're really that concerned, then don't let the conversation get anywhere until you've gotten the proof you need (via webcam or phone call or meet up) to verify your chat partner is who they claim to be. If you let it get far without checking, that's your own bad.

People lie. The internet is the perfect place to lie, because who can tell otherwise?

You're the one making the weak comparison, actually. I was referring more to the people who do "outright lie" and cook up crazy schemes, as opposed to the ones who tread in the grey area of "don't ask, don't tell".

And can you verify that the people complaining about getting burned (or if you prefer your more familiar prison-slang, "butthurt") by homosexuals in cyber drag are the same people that somehow "trick" vanillas into ticklish situations?

Who cares? After all, isn't the excuse we hear so often, "What they don't know, won't hurt them?". So what difference does it make if the person behind the screen name is swingin' peen? If you don't know, it shouldn't matter, aye?

Family?

Yeah, I'm not even gonna go there. And if you think I honestly give a shit what you do, you waayyyyy overestimate how much importance you hold in my life. Nice, mature use of the smiley, though. Didn't think I'd be seeing that one after I left grade school.

This thread is amusing.

Recently, my boyfriend and I dealt with a "girl" who was trying to trick my boyfriend into swapping me for sessions with "her" supposed male friend.

I discovered this person's name, address, phone number, along with all of the other information of the person who's pictures and names he was using. I sent an e-mail to this girl, providing her with the links and the email addresses for the administrators of the TMF. I also reported this to the Mods, with links to the same girls' Facebook page.

You know what they did? Nothing. No action was taken, despite all of that proof.

So what should you do? Nothing.

Because nothing would change.

Edit: And the reason why this irritates me so is because this wasn't a matter of just harmless role play on the internet. This person was trying to trick ME into giving them a session. That speaks volumes to me. I don't appreciate a place where there are rules in effect to protect the creepers and liars.

After I collect my $millions from that nice Nigerian official, I will be able to have any tickle hottie I please....( just as soon as you please one,GT *** rimshot***). This is exactly why I only tickle hemaphrodites, half a thrill beats none at all... If the internet were always true, every guy would be hung like a horse( gee, they sell penis reduction on the internet,GT,? tell me more) ,no one would be even a pound over weight, and we would all be millionaires working from home... Try meeting ladies on the numerous internet dating sites and not just for a tickle quickie. You may still get some old pictures/profiles but they will most likely still be gender correct. Even I have met several nice local ladies that way, so the "geeker" counter is not set so high as to eliminate me. What we REALLY need around here is a method to verify 'lee members true level of ticklishness, but no one wants to volunteer....😉

I never got a report on that either. Quite a rant considering this issue apparently missed both administrators.

Totally this!!! ^^^

And no we are not the same person!

But for real, verify to the uttmost!!!

As for my original thoughts? I say out the fucker! No censorship nececary, Just out the fucker!

I'm a guy. This is my only account. tickle-toy is a girl. Different ISP. You can look it up. We are as striaght forward as can be. Pretending to be someone you're not for the sake of your own jollies should be outed and not protected by this "Golden Rule"

...Ohhhh! I thought you meant THE Golden Rule; you meant OUR the golden rule. Sorry, my bad. (I just thought it was something Thumper's dad said to him) I am gonna have to watch what I say now. I don't say anything mean, but you know how that pesky interpretation thing goes.

Hmmmm....Interesting.....

Well, it looks like I stirred the pot a bit here. I'm actually glad I posted this, because it shows there is quite the mixed reaction to the subject and I'm not alone in my feelings. Thanks for all the input.

This has happened to me. Same instance, and found out "she" was a fake through another TMF Friend. I'm sorry to hear that. It's a shittu feeling.
