Speaking as an artist myself, I've never found much appealing about 3D renders. It has nothing to do with the content itself since I've seen good and plenty of bad in everything from the lighthearted to the completely kinky.

The issues that plague 3D renders is that the bodies are very repetitious. Since nearly everyone uses stock Poser bodies and leaves them completely nude, there's nothing to separate one picture from another and nothing that really sets apart one person's work from another's. Given the focus of so many pictures, it's very evident in the "Poser foot."

The other major issue is the range of facial expressions. It tends to be very narrow, and the great majority of faces come off wearing contorted horror masks. They're so rigid that laughter is the last thing I see in them.

I don't write all this just to list my complaints with the medium. Consider it an open letter to 3D users. These are critiques that anyone can address if they so care to.

There's pretty much nothing here I didn't agree with, ....... But ya gotta admit, restif and yurihausen are amazing at their craft XD

I'll agree with restif, since unless I'm mistaken he creates his own models to work with. That or he uses ones created by some serious experts. He also plays with really creative themes and settings. Yurihausen's work has included a few too many of those faces I mentioned above for me.

Hmm, well I try to make my characters look different and i certainly try to make them look like their laughing instead of in pain.
Have you seen any of my art?

Yeah, I think what is */f */m? I know f means female and m means male, so XD

I went ahead and checked out your work. You don't have the issue where the faces look horrified rather than hysterical, but so many of the other issues with 3D remain. The lack of motion or gravity, the rigidity of the postures... To me it appears to be a medium filled with obstacles for a user to overcome.

I've only seen a few artist who I think do it particularly well. Like Yurihausen, or the late great Hahathna.
But as a rule, it tends to weird me out unless it doesn't.

The */ before the F or M is a placeholder, it means the F or M is the ticklee, with "Misc" tickling them.
the * could be a human or a tentacle or a robot, anything.

It's a good way to ask do you like female or male ticklees, without having to specify a gender like F/F or F/M.

I'm glad I do laughing right 😉
I guess with practice I might get better at the rest.
Thank you for the info 🙂

Yurihausen is good at it, but his female models usually make me cringe at their dimensions. XD

Where can I find Hahathna stuff? It's sad when a tickle great passes away. 🙁
