How often are models in our little hobby recognized in real life?

Obviously there are lots of variables here, starting with the distribution and popularity of the tickling video(s) in which they appeared.

So let's assume an "average" model for a fairly well known production company in our space. Let's say they did a video 5-15 years ago, and are now living their lives in 2025. Would their former appearance ever come up, in the sense of being recognized? And if so, are we talking once/month? Once/year? Once every 5 years?

After all, in the enormous world of porn, we're engaged in an awfully niche subculture here. Add to that how much different someone's look can change after a bunch of years, meaning if it were me, I'd think I'd have a low level of confidence whether the person standing right there is actually the model from the video or just had a resemblance to the model. Add to that how even if someone felt sure the person in real life truly was the model from a video, what percentage of tickling video watchers would have the confidence / extroversion / personality to say something about it to them?

Can any models or producers speak to this? My hunch would be that very few of the former models would ever get "recognized" -- and the vast majority never would at all -- but maybe I'm wrong.

Sorry, Brotherted for the impending rant as you may have posed this question from a fantasy angle, but I’m going to respond from a reality based perspective.

NEVER approach models/talent outside of their fetish scene in public.

None of the models you see in tickle or fetish/porn clips go by their real names. There’s a reason for that. They are fulfilling a fantasy through a persona.

Also read the room. If you aren’t at FetishCon or Exxxotica, it is always a bad idea to approach them or stare at them.

Even if they do things like real time sessions, the same rules apply. I’ve heard horror stories of “fans” approaching a model at their respective day jobs and or when they are out with their family/vanilla friends.

This is a major reason why models tend to retire and such. They are people at the end of the day. Appreciate that you get to see them in a capacity they - hopefully - were comfortable being involved in at the time.

Related point, if you see your favorite model on social media with a different name and no reference to fetish in her bio, DO NOT DM THEM ABOUT IT, DO NOT POST ABOUT IT AND TAG THEM. Let them have their peace and escape from fetish endeavors.

I have models that are friends. It’s really not relevant. In the same way that my profession as a pilot has minimal relevance to most of my interactions. One of my favorite "guilty pleasures" of working in this industry is getting to see models' drivers' license photos. They rarely match in a way that would make them recognizable to the average normie when they're out and about.

It depends on the person. If I was really comfortable with the other person then I probably wouldn’t mind so much, but in most cases I’d probably get the ick. Thankfully vanillas don’t usually tend to care how ticklish someone is.
