how to delete a post?

Somehow ended up with a double post and couldn't figure out how to delete the extra post? help i could ONLY edit not delete

Only mods can delete posts. If you PM one of them to delete it for you, you’ll be good to go!

That is not correct. We can delete our own posts. Click edit and scroll down. See the delete tab? Click that then click the circle next to Delete Message. Look back to the bottom right and click Delete Post. If someone want's a thread deleted they have to ask Jeff or Myriads.
