That wasn't a massage. He was trying to pull his cup out.

There is a reason why that's an illegal move in competition. A groin shot can be fatal. If you listen closely you can hear someone calling for paramedics.

To be perfectly honest, the last person in the world I'd want anywhere near me after receiving a powerful spinning heel kick to the groin.....is the guy who kicked me!

Yeah, that's the reason. You might have noticed in the clip that as soon as the kick landed the referee got into the middle of it and the fighter who landed the kick went to his corner.

From the POV of the tournament, the guy who landed the kick just did something that could have killed his opponent. If he did it deliberately, then that's on a par with attempted murder. They don't know yet whether he did it on purpose or not, and they don't have time to find out until the injured fighter is cared for.

If the fighter isn't hurt as badly as he looks to be, then he might come up off that mat with blood in his eye in another minute or two. The old saying is, "Never kick a man in the balls unless you plan to kill him. Because once you do, you will have to."

Either way, until they figure out who did what to whom and how bad the damage is, the best thing to do is to keep those two apart.

Right when the guy gets kicked, everyone in the place lets out this loud *GASP!* and one single solitary guy goes "BWAHAHAHA!" LMAO. That'd be me.
