I got the weirdest letter today

I know I've mentioned on here before how I have pen pals from all over America via snail mail. I've gotten them from something called friendship books, which are lists of people's names who write to pen pals. Today's letter I received was about one of the weirdest I'd ever gotten.
Last week, I wrote to a girl in Ohio whose name was in something called a sex FB. Usually, sex FB's are filled with open minded people, and discussing tickling and getting answers from girls in sex FB's is usually easy. Last week, I wrote to this girl Shari in a sex FB, planning to ask her the question and foot things as I do on here when I heard from her. As I do on here, I always respect people's rights, and beyond asking them ticklish, foot or ladder questions, NEVER ask very sexy questions or get into anything terribly personal. Well, when I got her letter today, she was very stand offish, claming that she gets letters from pervs, and the only reason her name is in the sex fb is because it was put there. Despite the tone of her letter, my plan is to write her back, explain where I'm coming from, ask her if the feels comfortable discussing tickling or answering a couple of questions, and if not, try to be regular pals with her, and not ask her questions. I can understand her positions, but the tone of her letter put me off a bit. Oh, well, I guess we'll just have to see what happens when I hear from her. One thing I didnt like is when she said, she doesnt like to be involved in people's "sick fantasies". Despite saying shes open minded, she sounds like an uptight girl. It isnt the best way to start a friendship, but we'll see what happens if and when I hear from her.

as usual, my reaction and comments to these sort of posts from you is sheer astonishment. i truly can't believe how seriously you take these things, or that you can put so much stock into the delight of asking the question, as you put it.

why on earth don't you please sit back and take stock of yourself, and get things in perspective?

i am sure most others feel the same way, but are too shy to state it.

i am not bringing this up to be mean. i really am serious, and care to help sooner than later.

I'm only quoting a portion of your post because that is the part that jumped out at me.

If this girl's name is only in the sex fb because "it was put there," then I would take that to mean that she has no interest in having any interaction with anyone else there. I would take that as a huge warning flag, unless you found out that she really wanted her name to be in the sex fb but was too shy, etc., to put it there herself, so someone she knows entered her name for her. My suggestion would be to let it go, and move on to someone else who is truly open-minded.

Having said that, however, there is something puzzling: If someone put her name there without her consent, and she has zero interest in communicating with anyone in that group, then why is she responding at all? 😕

That is exactly my point,lite. I can be pals with her without discussing tickle, because I do have a few snail pals who I havent discussed tickle with, or who I've asked if they were ticklish, they havent responded or ignored the question, and I let it go. When I saw her name in that sex FB, I had no clue she didnt put it there, I just figured, here's an open minded girl, let me write to her.
I think how I left it with her is good. I told her I wanted to be pals with her, asked her a couple of questions, and left it up to her as to whether to answer or not. If she answers, fine, if not, I let it go and move on with her and dont discuss tickle. Hopefully it will all work out for the best. I'll wait and see.

My thoughts echo lite's...Something's a little weird about this.
Her name was "put there"? By whom? (The magical pen pal fairy???)
If it was "put there" by someone else as revenge or some kind of sick joke, why wouldn't she have said so? Why would she write back at all, rather than just ignore you? I wouldn't expect too muc if I were in your spot, but let us know how it turns out. There's more to the story here I think.

Mitch,you seem like a real good guy.But,in my opinion this girl is a nutcase.She say's her name was put there and she only get's letters from pervs.She writes to tell you this.Oh,(not saying your a perv,lol).One thing I have learned about communicating on the net.If,someone sends you a strange letter.That person is strange gotten a few emails my self,hit delete and find another there are plenty.

I already wrote the letter and sealed it. Oh, and by the way, it's a snail letter, not an email, in case that wasnt clear. Since I already wrote it, I'll send it and see how it turns out. I may not hear from her much, as she says she has 60 pals, and may not write often, so we'll see how fast I hear from her if at all. I'll take it with a grain of salt. If I hear from her, great, if not, I move on. I more posted this to discuss the strangeness of the situation rather than what happens with her. Honestly, if it had been a reverse situation, I probably would have either written a polite letter saying I have too many pals, or not written back at all. I more wanted to let everyone know how weird this all is, rather than to take her seriously as a pen pal.

Lime, she didnt tell me not to mail her anymore. I'll explain again what happened. I wrote this girl in a sex FB, and she voluntarailly wrote me back. All she said was that her name was mistakenly put in the sex FB, and that she doesnt want to get letters from pervs. She told me that she wanted to be pen pals with me, I would never have written her back if she had said she didnt want to be pals. I'm not crazy. After receiving her letter that told me she did want to be pals with me, I wrote her back, (After she said she wanted me to) and told her Iam not into sexy letters, but also asked her a couple of questions, that I gave her the option of answering. I didnt do anything wrong. My letter said: Answer these if you want, and if you dont want to, dont answer them. I'll see what she does now, but I certainly would never have written her back if I had gotten a letter from her saying:" Dont write to me, I dont want to hear from you" So we'll now see what happens with her. If she writes back and answers, fine, or if she doesnt, thats fine too and I'll just forget about her. Whatever happens, it isnt that important to me either way.

Mitch, you have no idea of what the poor girl has received in the "pervs" category. You must imagine that she has opened an envelope, perhaps with excitement and anticipation, and seen a crystal clear photograph of some guy twenty years older than me, twice my weight, with the ugliest facial characteristics from both of us (and none of the complimentary features) a hairstyle from the haunted house last halloween, naked, with a knife in his hand and a threatening violent expression on his face.

Now, imagine her getting equally disturbing material about, oh, fifteen or twenty times over the course of, say, a month or two.

While you're at it, toss in the 40 year old adolescent boys who need a replacement mommy to take care of their emotional, financial, domestic, and sexual needs. Count about five or ten of those into the mix.

Don't forget the seven guys who sent pictures of themselves wearing bra, panties, pantyhose and short skirts

Suddenly, this girl realizes that she's not the least bit strange and wants to get married; <I> RIGHT NOW </I> to the most boring guy in the USA. Sex twice a year, church on Christmas Day, and one visit once a year from the parents, for three hours max. Aside from that, she wants a level of excitement which includes a weekly trip to the grocery store and K-mart twice a year. (One weekday morning only, from 9:45 to 11:45)

This is her current frame of mind. Mitch, I agree with Mage; do NOT send her that letter; <I> AT LEAST NOT NOW !!! </I>

Plan-B is to send her a bland letter, including your favorite meals, least favorite foods, assurance that you have chemicals under control (i.e., you DON'T smoke pot and your drinking is less than a glass of wine a week; you have never bought a six-pack of beer in your life, etc.) Oh yeah, you casually mention that you don't smoke, and that you visit the YMCA twice a week to lift weights and play. No mention of tickling, ladders, feet, sex, not even pantyhose or bikinis or whatever else people here love to add to tickling

Plan-C is to forget plan-B and stick with plan-A

Plan-D Write her and tell her you are sorry she has received a bunch of perv-o-max letters. Ask her to write back if she wants to pen-pal with a normal boring guy, but one who is at least not a pervert.

Plan-E is to forget plan-B and plan-D and stick with plan-C

Plan-F is to just say "F" the whole thing. A tiny percentage of the female population really deserves to be avoided by the entire male segment. This girl sounds like she's a candidate for that status.
