I have a question about bondage equipment:

TIB used a type of bondage equipment known as an 'immobalizer', and it did just that... renders your victim totally immoble. Not able to move at all.

I have been trying to find where I can perhaps have it made, or if the plans are simple enough, make it myself (I am not much of a 'shop person').

If anybody could help me either find out where I can purchase one, or if you knew of how to make it, I would be very thankful. I'm just trying to broaden my knowledge of bondage and hopefully try something new, in a future video.

In case you don't know of what I am talking about, I have included some pictures of them being used

Below is one that, I was told, was custom made for making tickling videos. Thus you can't just order one like it but would have to show the photo to somebody who makes bondage furniture.

Yeah I would like to have something like that, but that would cost some pretty heavy coinage.

Yeah, the one Milagros posted would require knowledge of welding and leatherworking, and would be pretty costly. The FIRST one you posted would be EASY. All you'd need would be a single piece of 3/4 inch plywood, and the right saws to cut the shape and the holes for the straps. You could then sand it and paint or finish it to get rid of any rough feeling a lee might experience laying on it, or if you were REALLY ambitious, you could get some foam used inside chairs and couches to make some padding, staple down some fabric over it, get about eight regular belts to use as straps, and you're good to go! This could all be accomplished with a quick trip to Lowe's or Home Depot (except for the belts!) that would cost less than $75. They rent out tools, too. Dude, I'm not a "shop" person, either, and if I can build a workbench, you could build that immobilizer. The only thing I don't know how to do would be how to attach the fabric and cushioning, but I'm sure that could be found through a quick google search for how to attach cushion to chairs. Goodness, I SHOULD try to sell bondage furniture! That'd be fun! 😀

Correction, I think. I thought the Immobilizer posted by Milagros was metal, but it looks like it's just wood that's painted black. Now that I think about it, that doesn't look too complex, either.

Would it be possible for me to purchase a used massage table and make some 'modifications' for the straps and such?

I need something that can easily be broken down and stored...my parents are known for just 'dropping by', and I wouldn't be able to explain the equipment

For the sake of subtlety, the single sheet of plywood would be ideal, then, because you can just slide that sucker under the bed when not in use. 😉

Sorry to bump an old thread, but would anybody know how to make or build am immobilizer?

I wouldn't even know how to start building one, to be honest

The first immobilizer built by TiB was this:

He took a sheet of plywood and had a girl lay on it. He traced her outline.

Then he jig cut slots through the board making slots for the cuffs on either side of the outlines wrists, upper arms, thighs, and ankles.

Velcro close cuffs were fed through.

Later models had padding added to the board, and that means some sewing skill is needed to make openings for the straps and edge them so they don't tear more.

It's a pretty simple project.

Now if you want to talk better Tommy over at TA builds all his own stuff and if you ask nice he might share designs and tips.

I believe he was a carpenter, which kinda helps with building furniture. You might not get the same awesome results if you haven't got much experience in woodworking.

I did build one myself. I'm an ok handyman, but certainly not an accomplished woodworker. I suggest using 1/2" or lighter plywood. 3/4" is heavy and difficult to handle. As mentioned, have someone trace the silhouette of another person lying on the board. Do the cutouts at the anchor points with a jigsaw. First drill a pilot hole with a 1/2 wood dril bit so the jigsaw blade can be inserted. For mobility and storage purposes, cut the plywood in the middle accross the 4ft section with a circular saw, and attach the two peices with piano hinge. This way the boards can be folded in the middle to form a 4x4 ft piece which is more easily stored. I cut some old belts to make the restraints. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to use it yet.
Sorry about the angry icon. I'm really a happy person!

Yeah, come to think of it, 1/2" makes a lot more sense. I was originally thinking of the sturdiness for 3/4", but in retrospect, I think a tickle model would be hard-pressed to break a sheet of plywood from thrashing and writhing! lol 😀

For sure, you can PM me, I may be able to help you out. I used to be a welder and carpenter among other things, and you would need fewer and less expensive tools to make something out of wood. It can still get expensive. Just my cost for making any of my devices is around 1200. Now if someone could teach me how to make restraints, I'd save a bundle!

Learning to work leather is surprisingly simple. And the investment in tools is pretty small in comparison to the sort of expenses you see when building your devices Tommy.

Back in the 80's before there was a Stockroom (by far and above the best mail order gear supplier on the web today) in LA most of us who wanted to do any kind of real bondage learned to work leather. It's been almost 25 years since I last did it, but one used to be able to buys simple kits for making wallets and bracelets and such and learn the way to do things from there. I've not looked but I bet there are suppliers of raw leather on the web now where it could be bought in bulk, and from there all you need if you want to do pro level work is a sewing unit able to punch leather, and punch and clamp tools for eye-holes and rivets.

Given what I see you doing with your devices I have no doubt you could teach yourself to make workable bonds in a short time, and eventually pro-level ones after some experience.

And hey, it's a hobby!
