There are people who do a thing called laughter therapy where they get together and laugh and its a form of therapy, there is also something something called massage therapy where someone gets touched and its a form of therapy. Here is the question if you did a form of therapy thats a mixture between laughter therapy and massage therapy what would you have?

Its a serious question in that those are two things that do exist that are viewed to be therapeutic yet if if you put them together you would get tickling

Well, not once have I got or given a massage where tickling was involved so I don't see how they're related. 😕

Massage is supposed to be relaxing and although some people like to be tickled it is far from being a relaxing sensation so I don't think you could combine the two.

Ma. Laria.

That cracked me up! :bwahaha:

Sorry, I doubt tickling will ever be therapeutic!

I don't know who coined the saying but, "Laughter is the best medicine" Although, does it include tickling or just a night out at the comedy club ?

Either one works for me, but I always feel great after a good tickle session!

I got to say I think that this was pretty clever and pretty cute. Yeah you mix laughter therapy and massage therapy you must definitely would get tickling. I think this is pretty awesome and really cute you saying this. Yeah I say bring on the laughter therapy and massage therapy-bring on the tickles of course this being in a non professional and a playful tickle session not done in public. Since massage therapists in real life are forbidden, not professional to incorporate tickling when giving massages.

That would definitely give you tickle therapy. Ticke therapy is great!! Thanks for creating this awesome clever thread. Have a great day. Sending tickles and hugs your direction.

The thing is: most people who do not like being tickled tend to stop laughing pretty quickly and start screaming.

Yes, It would be a problem, just like my massage therapist friend found out...lol.
But you could only offer it to clients who agreed on tickle therapy, and of course, only in private settings.

I think tickling could be a good form of therapy for depression.People always tell me that they are happy and relaxed after a session and laughter cheers people up.People also say it is good stress relief.I think someone should try it out and see.

I agree, It works for me, its like someone has lifted a weight off my shoulders, although I'm afraid the jury is still out on the question if massage and tickling should be in the same session.

Again, that goes for people who enjoy being tickled. Since the majority of people doesn't enjoy being tickled, I think afterwards they would be rather tense and pissed of, and not happy and relaxed!

Maybe, you could try it first if they agree or there is always alternative sources of therapy. It goes with anything. One thing isn't the be all end all treatment for everyone.

I have heard that laughter is good for depression and the reason is that when you watch a funny film or stand up comedy and you hear something funny it feels good to laugh so they don't feel as depressed because of that. When you tickle someone you are forcing them to laugh so if they don't have a tickle fetish they won't be laughing because they feel good, they will laugh because it's being forced upon them and that is different. Maybe we could start some alternative therapy for people who have a tickle fetish only. Now that would be good work if you could get it! 😀

If a member of this forum offered a mixture of laughter therapy and massage and tried to pass it off to people as some sort of legitimate therapy, I think what you'd have is a case for Sexual Harassment Panda.

I definitely could go for and definitely love to be signed up for tickle therapy! I definitely could use some laughter therapy and a nice relaxing neck, shoulder, and back massage and tickle therapy would be sweet-be great! Lately been so sore and tired from work lately, that would be awesome! Love this thread thanks for sharing this thread, have a super day. Hugs.
