I haven't said anything about this in quite a while, but I finally decided to focus squarely on my book "Devils and Angels" and get it all the attention it deserves. Now don't worry I'm not saying this with my nose in the air or anything, but I think if I want my dreams of ever becoming a full time writer to come true I need to take the necessary steps to get there besides write a book I'm very proud of. So this is what I'm planning.

1. I'm getting Devils and Angels a professional edit job. Nothing fancy (which I wish I could get something fancy, but fancy usually costs more than a $1000 and I got a nice company willing to do a basic job for $200. And they are reputable.) As soon as the paycheck I just put in the bank becomes available. Always waiting....

2. I'm going to advertise my books online and offline through newspapers and other means of advertisement. I can get my book advertised in a magazine for almost $300. And local newspapers around here and such. I'm really excited now because I'm in a position to do this.

I have a steady paycheck coming in each week and my bills aren't too bad. So anyways everyone wish me luck, I'll keep everyone updated if they want. Who knows there might be another on this site like me ready to take the same steps I'm about to.

Very good luck to you, Alwayssivler! Your plan is most ambitious... I sincerely hope it works out well for you! Is Devils and Angels one of the books you offered through Lulu (I did a quick search, but didn't find it)? Don't neglect the value of offering samples of this work free for perusal, as you've done with Dexter Knight... response here would be a valuable indication of interest in a wider reading community. Above all, keep writing, rewriting and refining your style, whatever the monetary returns! The joy of creation is frequently its own most meaningful reward!

It was on lulu but I retired it until I get it edited. As soon as that venture is done it'll be back up for sale. Dexter Knight was given out here because I plan on starting all over with that series. I have so many ideas for it. I do plan on releasing samples here and on the TMF and I hope everyone enjoys it when it's finished.

Your right samples will help sales and I had no intention of stopping. Thanks for the advice. And thanks for all the luck guys!

Thanks. I really hope so too. I do plan on advertising in newspapers and also I'm going to pay for my book to appear in "Foreword Magazine" and a few other places. I want to give this book all the attention possible.

Good Luck. :super_hap

Thanks!

(This book is well over 60,000 words in length. And if I had written "Welcome to the Underworld" first than that would have been the biggest thing I've ever written. However my second book "Jamie's Teddy Bear" is the second longest thing I've written. But I'm no more proud of those than I am "Welcome to the underworld." Also I would like everyone to keep this in mind. Just because this does deal with devils and angels, god and sin, doesn't mean this book is preachy. I don't shovel a certain religion down anyone's throats. Actually this started off as a comedy, but as the book kept going it started to gradually turn serious. My favorite part of this book is actually when Laurel reaches earth for the first time and she wants to go back to hell. She digs a hole puts her face down in it and screams for her father to bring her back. lol. I just love that part. There are others but that's one of my many favorites.)

Ever since Laurel’s soul was drawn from the goblet of souls in the bowels of hell she has always wanted to travel to earth. When she is given that chance it's not for a vacation but to locate a sword, lost in a great war, thousands of years ago. In heaven, Erika is sent to earth to hunt down the sword and the devil girl. When they meet, Laurel and Erika form a pact and the fate of earth, heaven and hell, and Laurel's own family, lie squarely on the devil girl’s shoulders.
