I used to really appreciate any tickle media...now I'm kind of bored with it all.

Back in the early days of the online tickle community, every .jpeg or profile mentioning tickling or grainy 16 second video clip was like a dream come true. Now, I feel so inundated with tickle material and with such a pick of the litter that I am kind of desensitized and bored with it all. I don't even bother to click on or download previews that years ago would have thrilled me. Anybody else feel this nostalgia for the early days when tickle fetish material was rare and dear? Or are you just frolicking in a sea of wonderful tickle-media? Wish I was, but I suffer from existential angst and over-think everything.

In other news, I wish there was an intellectual, philosophical component to this community. Maybe there is and I just have not looked hard enough. Any suggestions?

Same here, but I don't think it's' being bored; moreso, the growth of the industry gives us more product. It took me a while to realize that times have changed . . . mostly for the better. I had to convince myself that I don't need EVERY piece of tickle media anymore. You'd drive yourself nuts, waste a LOT of time & memory downloading stuff. I became much more selective, spending $$$ only on the good stuff. This should drive the community to put our higher quality material, so the stuff we don't like & annoys us will fade away (although there will ALWAYS be complainers).

On a side note: is it me, or wasn't more high quality material (pics, art, vids, stories, etc) 'back in the day' shared freely & today, the good stuff is all commercialized ??? Maybe I am jaded, but it seems like if I want new media, I gotta shell out $$$

I, too, have felt this sense of jadedness. It's especially acute when one thinks back to the time before the Internet , when it was impossible for those with specialized interests like ticklephilia to identify one another or establish a market for tickling media - or before the rise of video players, where there was virtually no tickling material at all except for rare mainstream appearances. But I view this as something positive: if we're jaded, it's because there's so much good stuff now that each of us can concentrate on what really gets to us, and can ignore tickling scenes that years ago would have made our day, or our year.

Most of our thoughts about our fetishes or erotic interests should come from our own brains, and over-indulging in content can offset that.

I've always preferred stories, and just thinking to myself about the psychological dynamics of the whole thing. (Perhaps not enough people who feel that way have "outed" themselves here.)

I think that things WERE a little more exciting before the Internet,... although the first appearance of the 'net really was intoxicating.

Having said that, I also believe that "media" can't be much more than an embellishment or companion experience to what's actually happening in real life,.... even a good substitute is still a substitute, right?

If you're a spiritual person, you can do that with prayer - don't ask God for things, just thank Him for what you have. You'll start thanking Him for more and more stuff, and appreciating that stuff more
and more because of it.

It's like fantasy/superhero movies.

Remember in the 70's, 80's. Why was Star Wars so damn popular? It was the ONLY good Sci-fi, and stayed that way for years upon years.

Almost all the fantasy/sci-fi movies back them became "classics" and look like crap to today's movies, and I'm talking story-wise, not effects wise.

Superhero movies existed back then...rarely, and had...about 10% of the comic, if you were lucky. And we went crazy when we saw some of that 10%.
Because we knew that's the best we were going to get!

The Hulk TV series.... OF COURSE didn't include ONE character from the comic book, not ONE superhero, not ONE enemy, the Hulk wasn't as strong, .... hell, the NAME
was changed from "Bruce" to "David!" But everyone loved it, because that's the best we were going to get!

If you could build a time machine, and bring back film reels of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Spiderman 2, X-Men, Iron Man..... and surprised people, they literally
wouldn't know what to do with themselves. They'd need happy therapy to bring them down to reality.

Yet now, people are more critical of sci-fi and comic book movies, because we have more, better stuff to compare it to. Many people didn't like Dare Devil, but it'd be a masterpiece in the 80's.

If you brought one of Turtleboy's clips back in the early 90's.....WOW!

I totally know what you mean. Back maybe 10 or 12 years ago, I'd do an Internet search for "tickling" and find a still shot of a hot girl in a sexy outfit tickling the crap out of some tied up guy. I would have to imagine the rest though. I would picture me as the guy, imagine how I would react as that girl tickled me, and imagine what would happen next (sex, etc). Now, we get to see it all. We even get to see the sex because of all the forced orgasms in tickling videos now. Nothing is left for us to imagine. Sexy outfits are gone, and now everyone is totally nude. Somehow seeing it all and fulfilling these fantasies means that there's no fantasy left.

I'd say a part of the increasing boredom among some of us is the inundation of material out there due to the right here right now nature of the internet, but, for me, a big part of it is the increasingly sadistic nature of the material. Way too much nudity, bondage, tools, and frantic reactions...a lot of the stuff is basically porn. Tickle Abuse really took this to the next level...Zen Tickling started off awesome but is now like the rest. Gotten away from what drew me in the first place: good genuine laughter in halfway realistic situations

I don't think Tickle Abuse is that different from so many other tickling producers. I like Tickle Abuse clips but I really can't see what's so special about them?
