If tickling as a fetish, was considered mainstream and accepted by everyone, do you think you would still be into it?

hell yes. wether my neighbor likes it or not doesn't affect how i feel about it.

It is, to an extent. Like 90% of all people enjoy some form of tickling to some extent, it's just that the people with "the fetish" like it to go on way longer.

But more to the point, my boner really isn't a hipster, so even if "the mainstream accepted it" I don't think it would really effect anything. Maybe I could walk up and do it to strangers every so often (since I frankly don't understand what you mean by "mainstream"...), but that'd be it. I'm already crazy open about it with people I know anyway.

I think so. Just because I do it in private with my husband doesn't mean anything. For all I know, EVERYONE I know do the same thing during foreplay.

If tickling as a fetish, was considered mainstream and accepted by everyone, do you think you would still be into it?

Yes. Without a question. This is not something I chose. Maybe aquired, but most certainly not something I decided on. It was something that I ended up discovering about myself. Now, if you were to ask me if that was something I could change about myself, would I do it? At one point in time, the answer to that question would be a resounding yes. But now, I would have to answer that with an emphatic no because I've come to accept that part of myself, I realize that this is not going to be something everyone is into, and there are always going to be people out there who are not very understanding, who are also judgmental and closed minded even if there were no stereotypes at all about those who have fetishes.

Besides, I come to like this certain uniqueness about myself.

I was just wondering because part of the thrill of my tickle fetish sort of comes from the secret thrill of tickling someone or seeing someone getting tickled and no-one knowing about it. If it was totally accepted by everyOne, more people would be open about. If that was so, you could probably get away with it more which may lead to over exposure to it.

I realise the probability of that would be pretty low but it was just a thought 🙂

I think that if it were "mainstream", it would take away the surprise element of that first tickle with someone. I've had many memorable experiences with"vanilla" women where the surprise of being tickled while tied up turned into very pleasurable outcomes. Some of them actually asked for repeat encounters. Ahhh, the good old days.....

I really like big boobs. Big natural jiggling tits. Other men do also..most men, in fact? Damn, turn on done turned off!

Just kidding! Yeah, that's an analogy - most people are excited about Batman The Dark Knight Rises....and that affects my total excitement by a factor of zero....if I could build a time machine to go watch it now, I would. After I went back in time with a video camera and get that girl I had a huge crush on getting tickled on her suntan sheer toe pantyhose feet.

Yes, it happened. Once. And I'll remember that day when I'm 112 alone in my trailer watching the birds eat my garden.....

Maybe, maybe not.

I mean, I don't think you're born with a fetish. I think it develops based on certain childhood experiences. That said, if tickling was more mainstream, I dunno if there'd be as much excitement there. Something about it being a little weird/uncommon is pretty cool.

Personally, I believe the opposite from Annie. To me, it makes the most sense that we're born with our fetishes, our dispositions toward certain things. For instance, I never had a lot of tickling involved in my childhood, yet I've always been curious of it and the reactions that are elicited from it. Maybe that could be proof toward Annie's belief, but I still don't agree. In any case, we all have our own theories, but, going by mine, I really don't think "mainstream" would do anything to affect this fetish or any others. If it did, that would only prove to me that the person was trying to be "cool", which I just can't stand, I admit, and never had the fetish to begin with.

Yes. No question. I'd also be shocked. It'd be the only mainstream thing I really do that isn't an involuntary bodily function.

Once we are comfortable with our sexuality and ourselves, yes, we think that. But personally I spent a long time of my life being deadly ashamed because tickling was a turn-on for me. If it was that easy and you could turn off being into something because it is "more mainstream", I would have turned it off right then and there because it was NOT mainstream!

I also tend to think most people are born with fetishes. i do know there are some people that get into fetishes later in life though. id still be into tickling if it went mainstream. although if i had the chance, id have my tickling fetish vanquished for eternity!

Absolutely. I probably would've accepted myself a long time ago as well. I lived in shame of my fetish for the longest time because it isn't a mainstream, almost everybody likes it type thing.
