which one would it be and why?

I think it would be cool to live back in Ben Franklin`s time when technology was just beginning to breakthrough and a new country was being born.

the very beginning of the twentieth century before the iron age took over..or the very end of the nineteenth century..whichever...the movie "Meet me in St. Louis" depicts to me the perfect lifestyle...peaceful..

I'll stay in the present era since medical care is more advanced now. 😀

Coming of age in the 80s was a total blast but as a party girl, I think growing up in the 60s or 70s would have been fun too!
XOXO

Sometime before the computer and the phone.

That way, females who claim to like me couldn't hide behind text and would confront me in person. :upsidedow

The 60s and 70s weren't so bad. I had a lot of fun.

This will be controversial.

I would be a mature adult in his prime in the years leading up to the crucifixtion of Jesus of Nazereth. I would use my uptime knowledge to become wealthy beforehand, and would raise and train an army to support Jesus so that there would be no crucifixion.

Instead, the revolt against Rome would take place and succeed in creating a free state of Israel, with Jesus as the first king and founder of a new ruling dynasty, with Magdalene as his queen.

I know I would die young due to lack of medical care, but accomplishing that would be worth it.

🙂

I always wanted to be a 50's girl. The poodle skirts, the Malt Shops. Everything seemed so "simple." 🙂

I would have like to be around during World War 2. As my occupation ended up being an Aircraft Mechanic, I would have enjoyed seeing aircraft develope. That would have been interesting.

Having grown up in the 60's the developement of the muscle cars back then was cool to watch. Also growing up with The Beatles was fun.

The cars from the mid fifties on were cool to. All that chrome and those fins!
I have had the good luck to own a few old chevy's and now a 59 Ford, so I like the old cars as well.

I was born in 1965 Other than maybe being born five years earlier,I wouldn't change a thing

I'd love to live in one of two eras, either the roaring 20s, when radio came into existence, and times were good, or the 60s, with the changes in social areas, such as the sexual revolution, openness, and protests. I love the idea of living in a time when life was simpler, and less expensive.

It's a hard decision between the 50's and the 70's, but I think i'll go with the 50's. I've seen a ton of old film from my family back then and heard stories from both of parents, seemed as though everyone really had a great time then.

I think Christianity is quite clear about the reason Jesus Christ came to this world - if there was no crucifixion, all of Christianity would become invalid, would it not?

I would want to live in a time and a place like ancient Greece where powerful men could have a number of female slaves - mine would all be young, pretty and ticklish - exactly the ones my detractors would deny me - and all would be treated very well - only tickled regularly.
:devil2::devil2::devil2:

Precisely the point!

I think Christianity is quite clear about the reason Jesus Christ came to this world - if there was no crucifixion, all of Christianity would become invalid, would it not?

I've never had anything against the human man Jesus Of Nazereth. I would have loved to see him suceed in his actual stated purpose of expelling the Romans and establishing the kingdom of Israel anew, with himself as king. In that case, Saul Of Tarsus, the real founder of what we know as Christianity, would have chosen some other recent failed messiah (there were a few almost every year) to be the figurehead of his new religion. He would probably have been far less successful, because even as accomplished a professional liar as he would have found it hard to explain away the existance of a living, sucessful new King Of Israel, which was all people meant by messiah in those days.

Going by what actually was happening in the world back them, it seems likely that without the deliberate anti-Jewish propaganda of the Christian gospels, written from 1 to 2 centuries after the events they described for the specific purpose of discrediting Jews and Judaism, Judaism would soon have become the dominant religion in the Roman Empire, and the world would have been a far, far different place. IMHO, a far better place.

That is the true goal I would have given up longevity for.
