i have a mac computer and i purchased some vcd material from world wide productions. the problem is i put the disc in and i click on the cd icon it pops up as data title.dat and it says i need to choose an aplication to play anything i need help can someone give me some pointers.

Here's a couple of things that might work. First, go and download [link=http://www.videolan.org/vlc/]VLC[/link] and try to open it in that. It often plays files that other players can't deal with.
If that doesn't work, I'd see if anything in toast would help; I know it makes VCD's, but I'm not sure if it helps to mount/play them.
