In Memory Of A Beloved Artist

Dear friends,

It is with great sorrow that I must announce the passing of a beloved artist. Corwin FT, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2007. His death was sudden and unexpected. Corwin is survived by his wife and three children.

I first learned of Corwin's passing this past Saturday. On Tuesday I spoke with his wife and she requested that I share the news of his death with the community he was so very fond of.

Working with Corwin was an honor and pleasure. He was a gifted artist with a passion for the genre. He poured all of his being into each of his creations and it showed. He generously shared much of his work with the community and his presence will be deeply missed by many.

This is very sad news, a great loss to the Community. It's a comfort that Corwin had enough real-world connections that we can learn about his passing and memorialize it (rather than having him just disappear from our boards and nobody know the reason why). Corwin had a sumptuous, polished art style and a knack for jolly Halloween themes that I've always found wonderful. I'm going to miss him very much, but his legacy won't be forgotten. My deepest regrets and comfort to his family, and my thanks to his wife for considering our feelings at this very difficult time.

It was with sorrow that I saw the news of Corwin's passing early this morning at the TMF. I believe I first saw his work on this very forum and am grateful for everything that he shared with us. Requiescat in pace, Corwin. 🙁
