Interesting contradiction for the lees

I was just thinking about a couple of things a girl said to me after a tickle session. It was her first time being tied and tickle tortured, since she's not a ticklephile herself.

Anyway, at one point she said it wasn't as effective focusing on one super ticklish spot, because without the surprise and uncertaintly of where she was going to feel tickling next, she could steel herself against the experience.

She later contradicted herself and said it was way worse when I stuck with one tickle spot, because the panic that the feeling isn't going to stop sets in.

What do you all make of this contradiction? And lees, which is worse for you?

First, I think that seagull is frightening.

As for the contradiction, I think that's normal. In those first few seconds / minutes of having a super spot focused on, there is some nervousness that you won't be able to handle it; that the 'ler will push you WAY past your limits. Of course, for some people, that's the whole point.

However, as the tickling continues and the nerves adjust to the sensations, you are able to handle it better, and as you become desensitized in that area, less reactive. Hence why there's more than one spot on most people.

As for me, personally, I do enjoy variety, but there is something to be said for knowing my worst spot is about to be tortured endlessly, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it.

The love / hate relationship; there's another contradiction.

As a lee, the same spot being constantly tickled is by FAR the worst lol. Take the feet for instance if my feet are being tickled non stop it's going to evoke a reaction of constant laughing and I already know its not going to stop so I have to just take it lol. But the element of surprise is nice too, however when migrating from one location to another it sort of gives the last body part tickled a chance to recuperate in a sense lol so the sensation in that area begins to decrease.

I agree - that seagull is frightening.

But I can also see that it's worst and not so bad at the same time - physically and mentally are not always the same.

Geez, get rid of that seagull!!

I would say that both can be true, depending on the mood. Sometimes changing spots are worse, sometimes concentration on one spot is worse. Depends on the spot, too. Staying with my feet drives me crazy and I never desensitize there!

So... all yout answers are contradictions too. Great. 😛

And all this complaining about the seagull is only going to make the image BIGGER...

*tsk*

Trying to make sense outta something a dame says? Good luck w/that. 😀

she needs to wear a blind fold next time..problem solved 🙂

Concurred.

As for me, I would probably fit into this contradiction at some point in my life when I finally have a session for once 😛, but until then, I'm just going to assume that having my worst spot worked over for long periods of time would be one of the most difficult thing to handle. Over all, the thing that would drive me out of my mind the most, actually, is having a few of my worst spots hit all at once; two hands going at two, very delicately ticklish parts of my body...

Boom goes the dynamite!

By the way,
:nicethread:.

What was that :jester:?!?!? I'll show you 'not making sense'!

:slapfight: :pounce: :ily:

As far as the question, the other posters are right...but I've not really experienced being tickled too long in one spot or much dulling of sensitivity being tickled in one spot for awhile. Fortunately the guy tickling me had a good sense of variation and intuitiveness.

And as far as that seagull...I don't know what everyone else is talking about...that seagull doesn't look scary...he looks delicious 😀 :hungry:

Man that Seagull is frightening... 😀

More seriously, I think the contradiction makes sense. Sometimes the body/mind has a hard time differentiating between the known and unknown. So prolonged tickling exposure to one spot may lead to 'tolerance' and thusly randomly filtering though tickle spots is a more effective method.

But if that becomes EXPECTED, then it's possible for the prolonged tickling to one area lead to more ticklishness.

It's a contradiction, but understandable.

For me, if the tickler stays in the same spot and keeps doing the same thing, then I get used to it and it doesn't tickle much after a while. But if she stays in the same spot and keeps varying the motion and amount of pressure, then that can be devastating. :couch:

So... all your answers are contradictions too. Great. 😛

for me, part of the thrill IS the contradiction. i love and hate being brought to the point of begging the ler to stop. it's wanting to be tickled when you know how wonderful and torturous it feels simultaneously--wanting to be tickled to the point where you're begging them to stop or even to the point of safewording, then wanting it to start all over again.

Agreed via scary seagull.

And though I love all kinds of tickling, I like different spots; it's more unpredictable and more fun. That's just me though XD

You might even say....

Are you OrangeVibe??

But Mr. Gull, I gave you the last piece of bread....ahhhh!

Regarding Jonathan night of the living(dead)ston seagull: I can't believe the TMF would dis any feather factory!! Even one that looks like he/she/it missed out on being in Hitchcock's "The Birds" for being overqualified. I'M sure ol' bombsight the seagull will be waiting the next time you wash your car!! I agree that even a hot tickle spot can have its battery run down during a session. Blindfolds and mixing up the spots do help keep it real.

haha keep the seagull 😉 i find it entertaining

i think your 'lee was trying to distract you lol
