I can't say for certain because I'm not Jewish, but I think there is something along the lines in the Jewish faith of not eating the mother and child together. Such as, you can't, say, eat hamburger and drink a tall glass of milk that nourished that mother's baby as well. Though I can't be certain. Perhaps someone could school me a bit on it?

I mean, I can't imagine how you could classify it as an "abomination" on anything other than religious, spiritual, or otherwise ephemeral grounds. They're both dead, no harm is being done. It's pure symbolism, I can't see it being wrong in any substantial way.Just curious as to your thoughts on the subject.
Wouldn't eating chicken and eggs at the same time be considered a vendetta against that chicken family?
I have a friend who raises a couple head of cattle every year, and we once got into a discussion on cannibalism, and how, if push came to shove, that really, women and children should be eaten first, because testosterone "makes the meat taste funny". We thoroughly appalled his wife.

But now, knowing that people eat both chicken and eggs together, I only feel like half the monster I used to.![]()
