Flash-In-The-Pan eh...hmm, she just recently received FIVE Grammy noms. Normally Flash-In-The-Pan artists don't come even remotely close to that.

Also as far as her voice. SNL is notorious for shitty sound, but better yet that performance was supposed to be FUNNY. Here...try listening to this:

Whether she's a hermaphrodite or not (has never been proven btw) has nothing to do with the girl's talent. It sounds to me like you have a serious issue with the possibility of her having an extra appendage and are allowing that to cloud your view of her as a singer. Look if she was born with "it" that's not her fault. Some people are born ugly too. So what? Get. Over. It. That is all. 🙂

As far as the above being "convincing" of greatness, it's not. It just isn't.
The first song was tolerable, but nothing a first round American Idol contestant couldn't pull off. It was jus' ahiiight for me, dog.
The second song? Please. I lasted 1:32 seconds into it before pulling the plug. It was terrible.

Now, as far as being a flash-in-the-pan, only time will tell.

Wee-wees, Pee-pees, Dingleberries or Doodlenuts aside, it has average talent and isn't built to last. I hope whatever it is enjoys her time in the spotlight, cause it's gonna be a short, bumpy and very brief ride.

It's always been that way though. Some of my all time fave bands/singers had an "all around" appeal. Sure, I appreciate talent but it's cool when someone steps outside of the box and is different.

She's like the American version of Bjork lol.

I beg to differ. She can most definitely sing. She doesn't need the gimmicks for that. She uses the costumes because it's entertainment. See Madona, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, um ANY major pop singer of the last 50 years. Elvis for god sakes. Costumes are part of the industry. People pay really good money to see a show not just hear someone sing. Just sayin.

I hate having to repeat myself. The article where she "admits" to being a hemophrodite was doctored up. What she admitted is that she was bisexual. Which is why she wore the lightening bolt makeup as a nod to bowie.

When you google the infamous article the wording changes each and every single time depending on the website you visit. Everything from "i have pussy and cock" to "I have peener a poonanie". If it were real the wording would not keep changing.
 
I dont really care what she is. I saw an half hour interview with her and she seems like a very nice person. To me thats what really matters.
