Say there's a thread that people have just been posting in like crazy, and then you post in it and.....cue sound of crickets chirping. The thread just dies. Maybe one or two people will post in it after that, but that's it. Is it a sign that people don't like you or something? Or people don't like the things you say? Or that you smell bad? 😕

Just wondering because that happens to me a lot. Does it happen to anyone else?

Think of how I feel. I got invited to a party last weekend, and when I asked which side of the road I should park the ol' 'cube on, everyone booked it.

:/

Don't worry. That happens to me all the time. We can be smelly together, and soon we'll take over the forum with our stench!!! Muahahahahaha!

lol i dont think it means people dont like you. at least i hope it doesnt otherwise im pretty well hated...its probably more to do with people being bored of that thread.
see tmfers are like jolly lil butterflies flittering from one thread to the next looking for the sweet sweet nectar of interest. once a few have found it and gorged the thread dies...
no more nature programs for me.

Happens to me often. Just take it as I do... I get the last word on that thread 😀

Ohhh, dude, I am a thread KILLER! I'm also an avid creator of cricket threads! 😀

I wouldn't bother worrying about it, because it's something you have no control over, and can only speculate. Odds are, people around here will be upfront and tell you if they think you're a douche bag. Like Skeeman1 said, people are more likely to respond to something that stirs things up than to respond to something they agree with, and it makes sense. How many "Quote-blah blah-unquote" "^THIS!" threads can you go through? It eventually starts to waste web-space, offering no new points of view, or significant added thought.

You have to attend gatherings in order to keep threads advancing.:facepalm2:

You're relatively new to this site so that'll tend to occur. From what I've noticed, the more posts you have, the more other posters will be familiar with you; online buddies tend to follow each other around. What you have to do is make a post that either makes perfect sense or one that inspires controversy to keep the party going. Oh, and remember:

Such is Life in Internetworld. Don't take it personally. I mean, that alone would set you apart from so many here 😀

I spent a good chunk of time as the official TMF thread killer last year. I think everyone goes through it. Nothing personal 🙂

Don't worry about it. People around here love me to bits and i tend to see threads go *poof* after i post in them.

Oh My God. *dying*

Wow, a DOA Christmas thread. And this isn't even the Atheism Forum or the Bah Humbug Forum, or the Torture Bill O'Reilly Until He Says "Happy Winter Solstice" Forum

You see? 🙂 You're not the only one 😉 I still think that thread is damn hilarious, but that's just me! :jester:

Never take anything personal here man, unless they call out your name.... I've seen you posting about and I've enjoyed what you have contributed. Keep it up I says! 😀 And Merry Christmas! :bwahaha:
