You know what's funny about tickling being called "soft" S&M? I know that there are some people who are into hard-core S&M but who find the thought of being tickled to represent torture far too frightful. As I've mentioned in other threads, at NEST I got into a conversation with a young woman who was sufficiently "in" with the management of the club that she could have full access while NEST was going on, to take it all in (which I'm glad of because it was fascinating to meet her). She's into whipping, she's into fire-play torture, she doesn't mind getting scratched with sharp fingernails, but oh, how she was wincing as she saw people getting tickled.
I wouldn't rule out finding a gay male tickle partner here; I'd just look in other places as well, including local gay social networks (even though that avenue is coming up nill so far).
