Jen - 'Destiny' (/F comic)

There we go!

First of all, some important messages:
- This comic is NOT like Jen chapter 1 and 2! So, if you didn't like the horrors in these chapters, and stopped following the series because it wasn't for you... don't worry, you will probably like this one a lot better!
- Male/Female exposed private parts are CENSORED. This, too, helps opening the comic to a bit wider audience. Uncensored versions of the pages may later appear on my artist pad for those who prefer those.
- Reading earlier chapters (1-11) is NOT necessary. In fact, most if not all previous chapters are no longer available. But don't despair if you missed them. This chapter forms a fresh step-in and a little 'what has happened before' info that tells you all you need to know to enjoy this story to the fullest.

A little while ago I said that Jen will be back, still this year. And here we are! I took a short break from doing comics, only to find out that I missed doing comics, so I started itching for creating more! And I missed Jen a lot. So it was the most logical step to continue the saga... or rather, give it a NEW whirl, from a new direction.

In addition, something else is soon coming out, related to Jen. That is what you have seen some teasers about already. And yes, it's a game. 😉

For now, let's kick off this new chapter!

Glory! We may have to start a fund to buy this poor girl a slicker! Life still seems intent on slapping her around (as far as negligent drivers are concerned, anyway)… at least she won't have to worry about that slimy, sadistic little stalker this time! Hope her memory comes back into sharp focus… I have a feeling she'll need all her wits in prime working order to face the trials that loom!

Hm yes, life isn't exactly easy for her still, despite of the fact that she won't have to worry about the stalker. And there are trials ahead. One of which possibly being one of the most challenging she has ever faced.

Thanks, TD. 🙂 Regarding 'time' you will get one little answer on the next page already. There was indeed another daughter. You have not heard of her nor seen her unless you played the game 'Rise of Atlantis'. Hope (which is the name Jen gave her) was conceived by Jen's neighbour in the previous chapter; 'The Apocalypse', but didn't get born for a while as Jen went into near suspended animation.

That is one seriously hideous plaything (Gnatty Cathy, rather than Chatty Cathy!) I don't know what threshing machine she's been fed through, but that bandaid on her cheek isn't going to cover up the damage. Which I fear may have crept into her little cloth brain… that maniacal expression doesn't bode anything healthy for Jen! Gotta be some reason this poppet's the only stick of furnishing left in the place. I've got a feeling she doesn't cotton to competition!

I like the name 'Gnatty Cathy', but her name is actually Kelley. Nice description by the way. 🙂 There is indeed not a lot of furnishing left in this house, it's pretty empty, save for a few leftovers (more on that later). About the competition, however... you'll find out soon enough she is not the only one... :scared

In terms of numbers, they sure have the edge on Jen (though I'm none to sure whose side the mousie's on yet), and the lady's troubled sleep-state places her at ever greater vulnerability. 'Course, she does have a definite height and weight advantage… if these dollies are wise, they'll turn Lilliputian and strap her down quick before she rouses!

Indeed. "We live to play with you" is much like the opposite you'd think a toy should think (if they could/can think) which gives these dolls an extra layer of creepy on top of the fact that they don't really look like something to give to your child in the first place. Jen does have the advantage of height and weight, but against three... that complicates things. And about the strapping her down, don't worry.

By the way, some of you may have noticed, Brenney has made an appearance before this, which is in fact in the 2009 Halloween illustration I did (you can find it on my artist pad somewhere if you're interested).

I don't know if I mentioned, but this chapter 12 is sort of a 'new start' for the Jen series. Even though it's chapter 12, it can be read without having to had to read former chapters as it is featuring a full 'step-in' for people who are not familiar with Jen, telling you all you should know without obviously all the details. Also along the way you will get brought up to date on some facts that are important due to her past. But... a funny 'coincidence' here is that Jen 1 and this 'new start' have in common is the subject of DOLLS. Jen 1 contained a voodoo doll. The dolls in this new chapter aren't voodoo dolls, but nevertheless... they cause Jen some trouble.

If you followed her past, you know that she nowadays gets bunny ears (and tail) when putting on a swimsuit. In addition, it activates her special power...

In this scene she's hanging somewhere above the dolls (them not being shown), ready to assault them from above, secret weapons held in her hands.

This is, sort of, a scene that's to be expected later on... but done in larger size, different angle, pose and more awesome colouring. In fact, this time colouring the picture took a load more time than drawing the image itself. (hopefully the special colouring paid off!) I don't do that stuff usually. 😉

A new start to the Jen series eh? I kind of know where this probably will go since she did end up in the past after all. What better way or time then to probably change somethings....or thing that happened then to create another time lime for herself.

Then again, I could be wrong about that part. But on the the dolls....THERE EVIL! Evil dolls always have stealth ability and some how super human strength....though they seemed to be missing fingers.

Yes. It's a new start to the Jen series. A restart in fact. And while Jen indeed has the chance to change things, you'll have to find out if she actually does. It's very dangerous business, because a certain change may influence so much that the whole rollback wouldn't happen in the first place. However, you'll mostly find this story run parallel to the original story with some interactions here and there (very soon she'll meet the young Emma and Emmi, all very interesting stuff). At the same time Jen's present (in the past) is fully separate... if she'd die now nobody would know and the other parallel would continue normally.

Oh, and by the way, you'll have very clear handholds to tell the two Jens apart. Aside from the fact that it's just obvious in most scenes, the 'original timeline Jen' is usually wearing blue. The 'returned future Jen' is wearing red. The only exception to the red wear is the first pages where she first arrived.

The lack of fingers on these dolls do not limit them whatsoever.

I have not yet worked on the next page (save from general layout and scripting) but it's going into production in five minutes. Some other drawing (third one there) has somehow eaten up a lot of time. A lot of love went into that one, to try make it special. But anyway, I'll bring the next page in good time. 🙂
