Associated Press and CNN are reporting that Jim Nabors known for playing Gomer Pyle has died in Hawaii at the age of 87.
 
Sad news.

Jim Nabors was a great actor.

Thankfully, he lived a long, productive life, and made people laugh for many years.

R.I.P. Mr Nabors
 
I used to watch Gomer Pyle reruns as a kid. I blown away when I was watching the Indy 500 one day and "Back Home Again in Indiana" was being sung. Then the camera panned in to Nabors and he was the one singing! I thought his Gomer Pyle voice was his natural voice. RIP Jim.
