UPDATE: Convicted sniper John Allen Muhammad was executed by lethal injection tonight at 9:11 p.m. for the Oct. 9, 2002, slaying of Dean Harold Meyers, 53, a civil engineer shot in the head at a Manassas-area gasoline station where he had stopped on his way home from work. He did not make a final statement.

I remember hurrying past an open field with a wooded area behind it during the time they were killing people. Seems ridiculous now, but I was scared back .

I wish they would've broadcasted the execution live on TV.

Possibly... It is true that he's serving multiple life sentences with no parole, but it's not certain how much prison rape he's had to endure.

Murders happen in America all the time. To the point that the rest of the world considers THIS your national passtime. I just don't get what is so special about this one.

I think it has to do with the random and completely pointless nature of the killings, and also the fact that this guy was once a soldier.

Basically, he betrayed us in one of the worst ways he could.

I don't get it. If killing is wrong for him, killing is wrong for us. Life in prison is certainly sufficient. I cannot condone killing a human being.

I agree. And this guy more than earned his fate, so ABSOLUTELY no pity should be wasted on scum like this. Good riddance I say.
