just curious about those with tattoos...

Ok so I have quite a few tattoos myself and I've noticed that where I have them, my skin is a lot more sensitive to touch. I'm quite a ticklish lady anyways, and my tattooed places are even more ticklish!
Case in point- I have a tattoo on my hip on the right hand side, and nothing on my left hip. My right hip is loads more ticklish than the left!
Is this just me being odd? Or has anyone else noticed this? What else makes your skin more tickly?

That's interesting. It might be some sorta memory associated with the feeling of the needle while you were being inked.

I've got 4 tattoos and I can't say I've noticed any difference in sensitivity where I've gotten them, but I never really thought about it either. I have noticed that tattoos done in places that are usually ticklish, tend to hurt more. :/

I suppose skin-bumpiness could contribute to ticklishness; maybe that's what you're feeling. Mine are on the shoulders so it's not really an issue. Ticklish spot, I could see it.

I have a giant wrap around tattoo on my leg and I've never noticed any difference in touch since I've had it.

Its worth noting that your stronger side is often more ticklish than the lesser, so it might just be that for your hips, I suggest we look into it in great depth when you visit next 🙂

I'm with annie on her point, I've always found the most painful places to get tattooed are over tickly sensitive areas, its total hell, hurts way more than collar bones and shins etc which are commonly know to be nasty areas, apparently tho the armpit is awful.
