A few days ago I thought i'd try my hand at some furry art. It's quite different from what i'm used to, but i think i'm starting to get the hang of it. This picture was done tonight. I hope you like it, although it's VERY generic!

Cheers,
Syn

P.S. I'm sorry about the image quality. The photo was taken on this cell phone, my only node for internet access.

Great Googily Moogily!! Where the hell have YOU been, Syn??

Glad to see you're still drawing. Awesome furry pic. Hope you got lots more art planned for the future. You got a few years worth of artwork to catch up on. I look forward to more and welcome back to the artwork forum.

A champion furry! Somewhere, Bugs is saying a little prayer of thanks! Blending bunny and human characteristics into an alluring whole is no mean challenge, one you've met to perfection! A trim, tight figure, beautifully shaded; modest even while unclothed (that's the benefit fur confers!) A sweet face, too; buck teeth have never seemed more sexy! Even the flexi-hands are getting into the jolly cartoon mood, with whimsical fingernailed design and arch posing! No sin, certainly, and plenty to be proud of... who ever expects less from your contributions!

I'm not a furry fan but this is a nice picture by my standards. I also like the use of dialog, which always adds as far as I am concerned.

Thanks a lot for sharing.

Good it is to see you around, Syn! Don't be a stranger, eh?

I always did love your pencilwork; you shade amazingly well, even small details like her ears and how her soles are lighter than the rest. I like the mechanical hands as well; the nails are a nice touch on them! Well done, eh? 🙂

All I have to say is :

FURRY BOOBS RULE! 😛

Cute pic , Synful Pryde ... thanks for posting.

Thanks!

Slacker, thanks for your reply! Actually, i've moved abroad and have been putting drawing on the back burner. Easing back into it now -- I only wish i had the capability to post more refined work, but i'm afraid circumstances (and technical skill!) don't allow. Thanks as always for your kind and friendly words!

Low Roads, thank you for your ever-detailed comments! It's high praise, coming from an accomplished comic artist 🙂 and i really appreciate it. I am concerned that maybe the rabbit is a little too human, and that the furriness comes off as a sort of afterthought. Would you have any advice to share? Thank you.

Bohemianne, thank you! I'm glad that you're pleased by her expression.

Ayainna, thank you for commenting!

R, i'm pleased to hear that you like the picture -- thank you! I agree that dialogue can really help set the mood of a piece. It's like trim on a dress: not an overly obvious presence, but an important accent to bring the whole ensemble together. Thanks again for your thoughts!

HDS, good to see you, too! Thank you for your kind comments. I think you may be seeing only pencilwork from me for some time, though i suppose i could invest in a box of crayons 🙂 I'm glad this drawing was pleasing to you. Thanks again!

TKLMAN, i'm glad you like them! 😉 Thanks for commenting!

I think it's in great quality. You can totally tell it's about to get worse for her. She looks like she can't take anymore, and then here they come!

Now that's a heady compliment coming from a deeply-respected Community icon such as yourself! It couldn't mean more, believe me!

As far as my sensibilities are concerned, your synthesis is ideal! I approve, particularly, of the very human legs, an aspect which may have presented a temptation to alter... modified rabbit feet would likely have proved off-putting. My own approach to were-animals (rabbit-girls, cat-boys, sheep-folk) is to make them far more human than animal. Personally, I find features like extended muzzles, slit pupils, undifferentiated fur/head hair, goat-leg design, etc. rather grotesque, more suitable for monsters than characters toward whom we're meant to feel a measure of empathy and attraction. I prefer hints (alert cat ears, unusual animal coloring, the odd feral canine) that can be accepted as ethnic rather than species difference. Then again, my furry needs are rather specialized... animal people in my comic are never meant to be thought outre by their neighbors.

tickledorange, i'm glad that you enjoyed the picture! It's fun to imagine her eyes in the next few moments, i think 🙂

wishfoot, thank you for your kindness!

tkpolo, cheers for your compliments! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Low Roads, i was happy to hear your further thoughts on this! In my non-tickling art, my furries tend toward the bestial in appearance -- maybe an attempt to maintain a sense of untamed wildness which i reckon a better artist could portray with eyes alone! I'll keep refining it, in any case, but i think you're right that it can be easier to relate to more overtly anthropomorphic characters 🙂
I wish i could view the progression of your comic, but the cell phone makes it impossible 🙁 The last i was able to read was in December or January. I look forward to catching up someday!

I looked again and I agree about the furry boobs. He he he.

I think this is wonderful. I love the "just relax."

DimpleToes, thank you! I've done some other drawings, but most of them were years ago.

R, 😉

Coda, thank you! Glad you enjoyed that line.

TomatoDragon, thanks! I hope that someday my stuff will be as well-polished as your own! Your PFP work is particularly inspiring 🙂

Redscript, thanks for your comments! I'm aspiring from here on out to achieve a better understanding of perspective in my drawings -- something you've long since attained. It seems very difficult!

Thanks again for your views and comments!

Cheers,
Syn

Boy, ah keep tellin' yer this all the time: Keep postin' yer schturff in these here boards instead of dispeerin' like cows abducted bah dem alieeens.

I'll do what i can, Chimp! This was the first tickling pic i'd done since the last time i'd posted, and one of the first drawings of any sort done since moving. Trust me, when i eventually come up with a tk pic, i do my darnedest to post it; i'm too conceited to do otherwise 🙂

Best,
Syn
