Kink? Fetish? Interest?

Do you consider your interest in tickling a:

A. Kink - "Something I like to throw in with other sexual activities"

B. Fetish - "A deeply-rooted and important part of my sex drive"

C. Interest - "Something I just like doing, no arousal involved"

or D. Unsure - "I'm still trying to figure out its full relation to my sexuality"

I have noticed lately that a lot of the people who post in the forums simply have a tickle kink, whereas most of the people I meet on the chatroom seem to have a full-blown tickle fetish. Now, this is an entirely unscientific observation (my vague little poll is the closest thing to hard data I'm gonna get!), but it's something I've noticed enough that I'm starting to suspect a trend - namely, that people for whom tickling is hard-wired into their sexuality don't seem to delurk as frequently.

I could be completely off - I tend to chat late at night and post primarily in the general and tickling discussion forums - but has anyone else noticed this?

Well "technically" tickling can't be a fetish because fetish applies to objects and specific body parts rather than an action. I think the term for being aroused by tickling is some word that ends in "philia" but I forget the exact word.

However, as pertains to the multiple choices listed, I would say I'm somewhere between "kink" and "fetish."

I would also say I am somewhere between kink and fetish....I can be sexually satisfied doing just tickling without other sexual activity involved, but I can live without tickling.

I don't tend to quibble about the technicalities of the two.
So somewhere in between is just fine.

Personally, I'm somewhere between kink and fetish, toward the fetish side. Before I was sexually active, I didn't think I'd enjoy sex without tickling or really be aroused any other way. But I certainly do, and I certainly am. 🙂

Well this is how it is for me: I like tickling but only get turned on if tickling is done on my favorite parts.

But like armpit tickling or leg tickling, doesn't really do anything to me.

I was so glad to see that five others voted the same way I did. I have kind of felt like an oddball on the forum.
I actually was talking about this last night, that even on this forum I felt like a black sheep because to me tickling and sex are two seperate critters. Kinda like apples and oranges. You can put them in the same basket, and even though they're both fruit, they are still entirely different.

First off great question and poll by the way. Really got me to thinkin. Well I first came into this thread and clicked kink I believe without even thinkin about it to much, but then after reading the thread I would have to say im....like our thread starter...unsure of my decision. I mean sex is great and tickling is aswesome but it doesnt mean I have to use it in my sex life to get things going. It would also depend on whether the person im with knows about it. Ive only incorperated tickling and sex 1 time(not to long ago actually and totally by accident at first)and I must admit that is was extreamly hard to stop the tickling especially when the woman your with isnt asking you to stop and is just sitting there taking it. And even in the end she told me that is was "strange" how she actually enjoyed being tickled(lol who knew). So with that imma put myself as one of those inbetween ppl until Ive had more time to test the waters. But so far....1 experience, 1 postive...we will see what happens next time
