Laughter helped Kylie Minogue beat cancer, sister Dannii has revealed.

The brunette Minogue has revealed how she and her sibling often dressed in silly clothes and watched British comedy 'Little Britain' to keep up Kylie's spirits during her battle with the deadly illness.

She told Cosmopolitan magazine: "We'd love to do what we call "daggy dancing"- just really stupid dancing to anything I had on my iPod. And we played name that tune. Kylie is really good at it."

Dannii also helped Kyle to laugh by tying her up and tickling her feet. "Kylie's got the most ticklish feet ever. I'd tickle her until she was was hoarse from laughing. Then I'd tickle her some more."

The 'Spinning Around' singer was struck down by breast cancer last year and had to endure draining chemotherapy treatment, which led to her losing her hair.

Kylie, 37, got the all-clear from the illness in January and has been seen in public recently sporting her new short hair.

Danni, 34, revealed she found it heartbreaking to watch her sister fighting for her life.

She said: "The hard time was when I was away from her or she was away from me.

"Being close to the person going through the pain is difficult, as you just wish you could take it away, but you can't. I was thinking about it every second of the day."

I want to be her feet tickler. :triangle: 😛oke3: :evilha: :devil2: :smilestar

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! PROOF LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!!

As many of you may know, some of you may not, I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed w/ Hodgkin's Lymphoma in Oct. 2002 and am currently in remission. My life sinced then has changed dramatically. I try to uplift other young people and children that laughter is indeed the best medicine. In my travels as spokesperson, I tell people that I beat it w/ the help of God, and laughter. I am soo happy to hear that Kylie is doing ok and that I'm not the only advocate for a good giggle when times are bad. That is such a joy to my heart to read! 😀 :happyfloa :happyfloa :happyfloa :happyfloa

Granted though, I was never tied up and tickled, but I did watch a lot of comedy and funny movies. My aunt was the one in the hosp that made me laugh...also my mother's "out of body experience" when she became a different person once she found out her youngest had cancer. I totally understand how she could feel, but it was still funny some of the things she said and did because she'd temporarily for those few months lost her mind. lol. I did get the occasional ticke from friends but they felt they had to be careful cuz they didnt want to "break" me since I was already weak. lol!

If any of you know someone who has cancer, or is going through treatment, make sure they laugh. I cant stress that enough. Laughter is a big thing, and it could save their life. :twohugs:

So glad you are in remission ILuv. Thanks for sharing with us your story of how you beat cancer. :tickle: 😛oke: 😛oke2: :tickle2: 😛oke3:

The story about Kylie having cancer is true but I suspect that the sentence about her being tied and tickled is a hoax. Kylie's name isn't even spelled correctly on that one sentence.

....and if you milk an all brown cow at 647 am during the springtimem it would produce chocolate milk. :wowzer:

never would have known that...thanks!
but i really do hope the part of kylie's sis tying those pretty feet together is true. hooray for laughter. without it, stress, pain, and suffering would be everlasting.

Oh by the by....don't get me wrong here....I do agree that laughter is very thearaputic and that tickling can also be just as theraputic.

Hershey Corporation has just made a bid on all brown cows.

This is a complete and utter hoax. I found the original article online and the tickling segment does not exist, it was added by Sir Wishfull Thinking here. 🙄

Ok....with the intention to either vindicate the author of this thread or prove it to be bullshit, I took it upon myself to visit a website. Her official website for that matter and there was an addy to write to. Not to her directly but to a publicist I guess or an associate. I sent them the actual first thread word for word asking if this was true, telling them that I was (which is not a lie) trying to start a publication that includes clearing the air of lies perpetrated against people both regular and celeb, asking them if it was true.
This is the EXACT response I received:

Hi Edward

As far as I'm aware, this is perfectly true. It comes from an interview
with
Dannii in Cosmo, and she has made plenty of similar comments elsewhere.
I'm
not sure I understand why this article would be so damaging though??
The
article is hardly 'sensationalist'!

Kind regards,
Neil

Here's a link to the original article. Note the part that wasn't in it... 🙄

I guess even a publicist right from her site goes along with what ever publicity his, "client" can get regardless.

Lies beget lies beget lies...

Saw the article too and saw not the tickle episode/cure all.

I dont care if the tickling part was true or not. I know for a fact that laughter heals and THAT'S what I'm happy about.

Quite frankly I'm with Iluv2Btickled. I know that this is the TMF but I don't care if the bit about Dannii tickling her is true or not....tickling is the best fun in the world but guys its not life or death is it!!!

To me it's just lovely that when she needed someone the most, that her sister stuck by her and helped her through it!!! That is the bit that REALLY matters!!!

Kylie is a lovely lady....and i'm not doing this to name drop....but I had the immense pleasure of taking her picture about 3 years ago. I must admit I was very nervous....like alot of celebs I thought she'd be really up herself and a bit of a 'diva' but honestly she could not have been nicer.

She was so down to earth....aswell us gorgeous !! and one bit that IS TRUE is the bit about her loving a good laugh !!! 😀

As Australia had beaten England that weekend in the Rugby...and she's an Aussie and i'm English...she teased me about it mercilessly and we had a really good shoot together. The shots of her laughing are amongst my most favourite photo's. Sadly the mag I was shooting for didn't feel that they were 'sexy' enough but Kylie loved them and I gave her copies for her own 'private album'.

I am so happy that she is in remission. Cancer is such a terrible disease...no-one deserves to go out like that!!

All I can say is good on yer Kylie and Dannii....and Kylie I only got to spend two hours with you but thanks for making it such a happy memory !! (just incase she reads TMF....you never know!!! LOL)

P.S Iluv2Btickled I just wanna say that i'm so glad that you are in getting better too. You are a lovely lady and you're so right....Laughter is a wonderful medicine!! :bouncybou

So keep well and I wish you a long and laughter filled life. Your a little star :smilestar

This is where Horatio says "Mea Culpa"

Hey folks - as many have uncovered. that was a little (sick) joke, and yes, there was a sentence or two added. I meant to get back here and let the cat out of the bag, so to speak, but I got busy. So, hope you enjoyed your late April Fools joke. Sorry!!

ILuv2BeTickled, I'm really pleased to hear that you're beating cancer. I lost 2 people in my immediate family very recently to cancer. I watched them go from vibrant, happy, funny people to... well, let's just say I was relieved when they were finally released.
